I visited Pinko boutique duomo on the 20th of May 2022 at around 12:00 pm. One of the employees assisted me to choose a small cute bag. I decided buying it after she reassured me that I could get a tax refund directly from the global blue in Rinascente near duomo just by showing my passport photo. When I swiped my card at the cashier another employee showed up stating that the procedure had changed and that the global blue did no longer refund you in Rinascente (she was right). Since I wouldn’t be able to get the tax refund as they reassured me at first place I decided not taking the bag and told them to cancel the transaction, but they denied at all costs and refused bringing the manager. They even called someone who claimed that was working at global blue to reassure me once again that I could go get my tax refund straight from the office at Rinascente. Turns out that the global blue at Rinascente couldn’t do the refund and instead sent me to their office at the airport. When I arrived at the airport the global blue employee told me that in order to proceed with the tax refund I needed my passport itself and not just a photo of it. In overall I am very disappointed with the customer service of pinko duomo because I feel that they lied to me just to make the sale. Instead they could just apologise for giving me the wrong information and cancel the transaction straight away. Am I going to that store again?...
