This is the only restaurant that I would recommend near the Duomo. Most of the restaurants in this area are tourists traps, with high prices and a terrible quality, with not even original italian food. Instead this restaurant offers a REAL ITALIAN high quality food, finding a table may be hard because it's always full. But the waiting time is absolutely worth it. The pizza is fantastic , all the portions are generous and the staff members are nice and helpful. Specially" Raffaella "a very nice lady, she helped us find a table quickly and was constantly checking on out table to see if everything was fine. She suggested us some special desserts that where actually amazing. Prices where fair and the quality of the food specially the meat, mozzarella and ricotta where very good. I will surely return and suggest this place. Thank you very much!!

STOP! DO NOT GO HERE. From the moment we arrived there was no feeling of service. The restaurant was very quiet with 4 tables of people yet it took us 15mins before someone took our order despite looking around to get someone’s attention. After ordering my food came 20mins later (the only good thing about this experience). My parter’s food, who ordered a pizza, came 15mins after mine. Yet the table nearest to us who ordered after us got their pizzas first. Finally when it came to pay they said we had to pay a €2 service charge each but in the English menu it said €1.5. I did not want to pay this at all since there was NO service. Finally the manager lowered the price and we left very unsatisfied.

I would give a 0, but since’s it’s not an option I had to give a 1. Customers, especially foreigners and tourists be extra careful. Food wasn't the best and service was terrible. None of the workers spoke English therefore communication was extremely difficult. It was clear the servers were annoyed you could tell from their faces and behavior. We felt very unwelcomed in here, as if us eating here were a disturbance to them. One of the servers spilt half the water we literally paid for everywhere including on my pants and left everything on the floor and table soaking wet. Not only did they not clean their mess they didn’t even apologize properly, their attitudes were really messed up. The bread that was served as appetizers were cold and rock hard. Fine, the breads were appetizers, but it's not like the food were good either. The spaghettis and risotto were hard to eat as they were too salty. Even the microwave risotto we bought the other day from the market was better than that. Definitely not worth the money. When we were done and received the receipt, there was an extra 12 euros stamped on the receipt indicated as ‘servizo’ that we had to pay. None of the other local customers were charged extra therefore when we asked the manager what this was he said it was it was “italian tax” saying every Italian restaurant charges this, what a joke. He was extremely rude and annoyed the whole time, and even mocked us. This is just their way of trapping the tourists to pay extra. When we asked for a proper explanation he shouted at us and threatened to call the police. Coincidently? I also got pickpocketed at this same restaurant despite sitting indoors. Please be extra careful. Everything in that restaurant was such a mess. I regret not reading reviews first. Waste of time, money, and energy trying to deal with the rude workers and service. Never going back and not recommend, worst restaurant I’ve ever been...

STOP. DO NOT GO HERE. I have never experienced worse service in my entire life.

We waited 20 minutes before anyone came to take our order. Then another 20 before my partner’s meal arrived. The customers next to use (who arrived and ordered after us) received their two pizzas first. I then asked the waiter if my pizza was coming as we needed to leave soon and he pointed to the oven says “it’s coming” and walked away. 5 minutes after this (30+ minutes after order), my partner’s meal finished, my pizza arrived.

We asked for the bill while I was still eating and the waiter just pointed to the computer screen behind us and then went to sit in the corner table to eat. Another waiter joined him. We ask another waitress and she did the same thing.

Once I finished eating we went to stand by the computer and the waitress came after a couple minutes of us waiting there. She then printed a bill where there was a €4 service charge which we tried disputing due to the terrible service to this point.

She then showed us the Italian menu where it says €2 per person, but we showed her the English one where it says €1,50. I said that this wasn’t my fault that there was a misprint. I read the English menu. Also the service was terrible and we were not happy to have to pay this anyway. I had to use google translate since no one there spoke English well enough even though this was within a three minute walk of the Duomo - and they had English menus.

She then began screaming (literally screaming) at us and her colleagues in Italian and called the manager. He then said the same in regards to the service charge and we said we read €1,50. He screamed OKAY €25! at us and grabbed my card and slammed it on the machine then shoved the receipt in our hands “THANK YOU! GOODBYE!”

I would not put anyone through such a terrible experience and highly recommend avoiding this place...

Raffaella ‘’bella” welcomed us and made sure that our dining experience was perfect. She was professional and knew everything about the menu. We were 3 Americans in Milan for work and she made us feel at home. She took care of our friend who couldn’t eat any red meat and had a beautiful seafood pizza prepared for her. When she knew they didn’t have the stuffed crust pizza I was looking for “cornicione” as many call it, she recommended the stuffed pizza/calzone type with ricotta and salami which was absolutely delicious. I had not been at M&B for few years but I have always had great experiences. Being by the Duomo, their prices are reasonable and their Naples style pizza and menu is one of the best! Thank you Raffaella for taking care of us, we will come back to see you 🍕 💚🤍❤️
