Arrivando a Ortigia, dopo aver ammirato i resti del tempio di Apollo, non si può evitare di passeggiare in questo bel mercato caratteristico, ricco di profumi, colori e sapori. Ce n'è per tutti i gusti: dai formaggi, alle spezie, al pesce, ai prodotti tipici, frutta, verdura, etc. Non mancano le classiche scenette tra venditori e clienti/turisti per i quali gli italiani sono famosi in tutto il mondo 😁

Appena dentro l' Isola di Ortigia non si può mancare la visita alle bancarelle del mercato, dove i venditori descrivono i loro prodotti cantando nenie in lingua locale, con un accento buffo e folcloristico. Sembra essere immersi in una tipica souk araba.

Unsympathic and respectless Indian guys selling you cheap stuff for too much money. The food market that is open till midday is good, but the non food which is open till after midnight is really bad. My recommendation, go somewhere else to buy...
