I work for a major airline and fly to Venice often. Through “word of mouth” from co-workers, I discovered this shop. The man that works there (and makes all of the glass figurines and the unusual and exotic stems for the various glasses) is a true artist. The vibrant colors he uses speak to me of Venice! He is so very talented and hard working. He does not speak any English, but this has never stopped us from being able to communicate to him what we want. If he is out of a particular item that we want, we place our order and he has it ready for us on the next day. He is amazing. His daughter also works in the shop. She makes the exquisite Carnival Masks and her work, also, is of a very high quality. She speaks English fluently. They make a great team. The shop is small and it could be easy to accidentally walk by, when trying to locate it. It is on Dorsoduro, across from the Hotel Falier. I was looking for some authentic Murano glass items and wherever I read about it, they talked about a lot of fake Chinese glass everywhere in Venice.

We asked our Airbnb owner for a recommendation and they recommended this place. An old man makes all the glass items in this store himself and the Venetian masks are painted by his daughter. The items are fairly affordable and there is a wide variety of glass jewelry and knickknacks you can buy. We bought quite a few of the "candies", a turtle and a bird to take home. They even pack the items in paper and boxes for your convenience.

This is my favorite little glass store in all of Venice! A must visit for anyone looking for a unique gift to bring home like wine glasses, perfume bottles, jewelry, and more. This glass store felt more special than the ones I visited in Murano and everything is reasonably priced. The owner hand makes all the pieces in the store and you can watch him work. He packages everything for you in a box and tissue paper so it won’t break.
