This place could be so much more… Let me start off by saying that this was not my first time in Venice, so I am very familiar with Canal and Venice life. Also, it’s not my first time at a Residence style apartment, so we knew what to expect. We spent 3 nights in Venice before joining a cruise. We wanted a residence style apartment because we enjoy going to the local stores, buying fresh meats, cheeses, breads, and olives for breakfasts. A great way to taste the local fare. The building has a rich history, rooms are nicely decorated and spacious. HOWEVER!! What is not mentioned on the website, is that you climb 48 steps to get to the hotel entrance. Fine for us, but I saw several guests for the Residence and Hotel (same place, by the way) that were struggling to bring their luggage up and down. The attendant front desk to the Hotel, which shares the hallway as the Residence, refuses to help in any way. This was explained beforehand, however a friend that was traveling with us got a small cut on his arm from one of their glass lamps while checking in, and asked the attendant for a tissue to stop the bleeding. The man said no, because my friend wasn’t a guest at the hotel portion. Shame. Also, in our apartment, there were 2 air-conditioning and heating units. Neither one worked. It was 85 during the day during our stay, and the sun heats up the rooms quite a bit, so at night it was miserably hot. So, the first night, we had the windows open to let the cool air in. We had a canal facing room, and EVERYTHING echoes up and down the canal, including boat noises, travelers and locals walking, talking, laughing, and singing. We finally closed the windows at 2AM and sweated the night out. And for the next 2 nights as well. Our friend’s apartment didn’t have a working air-conditioner either, nor did the 2 German girls next to us. All said it was too hot to sleep comfortably. Now let’s talk cleanliness. I have included pictures. The air vent in the bathroom had a thick layer of dust. So did all the furniture not at waist height, such as the coat racks. There were stains on the wall from spilt wine from a previous guest that never was cleaned. The curtains were torn, and smelled of cigarette smoke. The floor between the living room and bedroom had chunks taken out of the concrete, and when you walk past, you step on little concrete pebbles. The place really needed a good cleaning. When you want someone to clean the room, you leave a note on the door, otherwise they don’t come. This is fine, except when they do come, all they do is make the bed and empty trash. No clean towels, no clean sheets, no replacement of soap. My wife went to complain, but there was nobody in the Residence office, which was most of the time. So, she talked to the Hotel attendant (remember, they are separate, yeah right), and he thankfully went to the hall closet and got fresh supplies for us. This same Hotel attendant also came to our room at 9:00 PM, the night before we were due to leave, and said that Michele, the owner, sent him to collect the money for the rooms. Unbelievable. Michele, please put some effort into the Apartments. Like I said, this please could be awesome, but it failed.

Couldn’t have asked for a better location and stay! <10min from the bus stops and around 30min to walk to Piazza di San Marco. I actually preferred the longer walk because there is so much to see and explore on the way. The hotel’s lobby is accessed through a beautiful, private courtyard and the street outside is on the quieter side as well (much better than the crowds in the tourist hot spots). Rooms were styled more traditionally while the bathroom was very modern. Staff were friendly and spoke English well; upon arrival, I received a map with suggested sights and activities, which was super helpful! When booking I was also asked my arrival time, and they even let me check-in early as a result! One note is that to access the rooms you’d have to walk up some stairs.

A very traditional and quaint B&B just 10 to 15 min walk from Piazzale Roma bus terminal. Staff is consistently very friendly. They speak Italian and English to make it easier for international travelers. Room were immaculate with very comfortable beds. Breakfast was delicious with plenty to choose from on the basics. Select made to order hot items, including excellent coffee, cappuccino. Downside is the amount of stairs. But it is venice. This is a quiet area, so a good night rest can be had. Not near the major tourist traps, which we preferred. However venice is small and you can make it to st marks in 25 minutes. We enjoyed our stay. We're going to stay here again.

We all absolutely lived it! The first impression is the super friendly staff. You have to climb quite some steps to reach the room (ard one floor of stairs? Not recommend if you have a lot of luggages) however the staff ran out and helped us to move most of the luggage's to our room. The check in time is actually quite flexible since we arrived at 1230 and the staff still allowed us to check in. The room is very spacious with clean toilets and bathroom, there are Shampoo and body washing separated and some to spare (since we ordered an extra bed in a double room) We are also very surprised about the extra bed because it is not an ordinary expandable sofa bed, but a normal bed. Apart from the nicest service we have ever received, the breakfast is also a highlight. There are tons of choices (sweets like milk pudding, croissant, fruits, normal breakfast like ham and bread) and you can order some specials from the menu. We did try their scrambled eggs and smoked salmon salad, absolutely spot on! It has to be the best breakfast I've ever had from hotel! The location of the hotel is very close to the train station, but quite some walk to piazza San Marco (ard 20 min if you didn't get lost) The hotel provide us a map so that we can find places easier, and turns out we did use this map way more than google map (Google map gets really inaccurate on the island), one service we like a lot again. Overall it's a very pleasant experience and we like the hotel very much!...

Palazzo Odoni was an ideal location for our 2 weeks stay in Venezia. Stairs were NO problem at all for us. Room was large, bright, and quaintly Venetian- so lovely to hear the church bells every morning starting at 8 AM. Team of lovely staff, esp. Carmella - sweet, gentle lady in charge of breakfast. Freshly baked bread every morning - the aroma wafting through the palazzo. Eggs and other main items made to order. Individual plates of assorted meats; assorted cheeses, assorted fruits; cherry tomatoes with mozzarella cheese with fresh basil - tomatoes were the sweetest we’ve ever eaten anywhere. Cappuccino, cafe Americano, latte, hot chocolate, espresso all made to order and really delich. Breakfast room very pretty but small so you must choose a time on check-in to avoid overcrowding and that system works very well as long as you are not late or too early. We had no problems with this at all. Other staff were equally helpful, friendly, and very professional- Antonio, Justin, Errol, and Alberto. We did not use the water taxis at all - leisurely walking and finding our way down small alley ways which all of a sudden pop open into large centers with restaurants, shops, pharm, groceries (Coop, Conad, Despero) - groceries interesting to explore and buy your fruits and whatever else to store in room mini-fridge Pastry shops galore. We discovered one with exceptional freshly baked assorted pastries that the locals frequent. Cicchetti is a must - find local one away...
