EXTREMELY RUDE STAFF! We visited Al 133 today for breakfast 6 of us food was descent and we enjoyed the location, we had a bill of €88 when it came to the bill we asked to pay seperately some by card some with cash, the waitress recommended if we can use only one card or at least have exact and even amount, as we wanted to pay separately we round the amount to €15pp to avoid the confusion, when I went to pay I told the waitress what was the amount and paid by cash a total of €45 however as one of my friends wanted to pay her share by card I kindly asked her to give me back the €20 I would give the change of €5 back and my friend would pay by card I apologised for the confusion and my mistake as I had misunderstood, she started being extremely rude, and said that we cause her confusion and if she did that she would still miss money I was talking to her in Italian as Im fluent and explained that my friend was going to pay the remaining amount by card, in any case we all added a bit more than the actual bill, apart from her shouting as it seems she doesnt get simple maths, the waiter behind the bar started shouting to and insulting us everyone was staring, being upset I gave her the remaining amount in cash as it seemed that was the whole point and we wouldn't find a solution with two people screaming at us and I told the lady that there is no sign that says cash only or that they dont accept cards, and that I made sure to ask her before wesettled thw bill to pay separately. Would would have gone there again the next day and spend a good amount of money but we would rather go somewhere else down the street like we did for the previous 3days and...
Read moreThis is a bar that serves breakfast and snacks in the morning and afternoons as well as drinks and cocktails in the evenings. So, I will have to review its morning service and evening service separately. Morning: between 7-9am, the lady who serves coffee and breakfast is lovely. She makes excellent coffee and cappuccino. Pastry selection is good too. Breakfast for 2, pastry and coffee for under 6€. Evening: the evening service is a different story. Spritz, beer and other cold beverages are available. Spritz and a Coca Cola for 8€ isn’t bad but we arrived early at the bar and a group of younger customers (about 8 of them) arrived about 3 minutes after us and the bar man decided to serve them first. Worse, after serving us, he butt in and interrupted our conversation a number of times. Hence, the 3 star review. I would have given it a 5 if I only avoided dropping by in...
Read moreWe really enjoyed this breakfast location. The dynamics of the staff really add to the experience, a positive experience.
Everyone in our group of 6 ordered the Menu 2 option (cappuccino, croissant, toast, 2 eggs, and 3 pieces of bacon).
The eggs were ordered in different styles from sunnyside up to over easy. All the sunnyside up eggs were cooked to perfection. The over easy eggs were overcooked, but we attributed that to a misunderstanding of our request.
The egg yolks were a deep, rich orange color and very delicious.
The croissants were a big surprise because they were filled with a delicious preserve (apricot ginger, or berries)
The bacon is a little different than what we are used to in the USA, but just as delicious!
The cost for breakfast was very reasonable... 13 € for the Menu 2, and 7 € for a nice bowl of muesli.
We look forward to having breakfast...
