I got a panino with porchetta from there for take away. Unfortunately I couldn't take my time and relax there and maybe try the wines there. 1st of all the taste was pretty good and the prices really good for what you get. As the sign outside says, it's 1€ for a panino with 1 ingredient and 1.20€ for a panino with 2. The place, if I'm not mistaken, is for a quick lunch or some appetizers before lunch, but you can also take your time and chill there. There are no seats, only some barrels in which you can put your food and eat while standing, or you can opt to sit down on the stairs next to the canal. Personally I liked this and I would definitely want to experience all this another time. The atmosphere inside is really nice and cosy although you cannot stay in there for long as the place has lots of people waiting for their turn to order.
Tldr: The place serves its purpose perfectly with good tastes and prices. If you also like to chill down on the stairs near the canal it's...
Read moreI had to make my way to this little spot since I had heard so much about it. This bar literally made it to any local Venice persons blog/recommendation. So when you are on a little bar crawl, add this one. When me boyfriend and I arrived here it was packed ! It’s literally I tiny spot with a counter. You don’t eat or drink inside. You go to the counter, order, pay, then head outside. There’s are small tables to stand at. It is along the canal so you can easily sit right on the ground near the canal. The menu is directly on the wall with glasses of wine for $.70. This is definitely the cheapest place you are going to find ! They also have different little sandwiches to snack on for $1. This is a mix of tourist and locals. The best part was that even though it was busy, they are fast ! I’m glad we...
Read moreAuthentic cicchetti experience with a lot of Venetian locals and dirt cheap prices @ 1.30€ per sandwich and 1-2€ for wine
Sandwiches were great (for the price). There were about 6-12 different types. If you want an authentic and chill Venetian experience I would recommend coming here (especially during the summer when they have seating). Also take a look next door, we did not go there but they seemed to be even cheaper (1€ per) and have more options.
Now for the cons:
There was no seating at all, this could be because it was winter or because we came close to the holidays (Jan 4).
The line was long and took about 40 mins. If you have a packed day here in Venice I would definitely not recommend coming. It was cheap but the line was long and the food was...
