💜Kawagoe Mameya Koedo / shop's name 🟩小江戸 まめ屋【特製あんバター】 🔷️ Location = Kawagoe, Little Edo Town of Saitama Prefecture ( ✅️ Saitama is another prefecture at the outskirts of Tokyo).

😅 It took me sometime to search for the shop's name in Japanese. 🟧 My hubby and I went in and they gave us free samples of this bean snack to try. 🟧 Beans are called "mame" in Japanese.

🟦 After we tried the snack bean samples, the lady staff gave us small plastic baskets ( ❇️ for us to put our assorted bean tubs into baskets for purchasing)

🟫 This bean snack shop has a variety of assorted beans in flour batter. ➡️ I think the term to call these types of flour-battered beans is breaded beans. 🟨 It simply means the beans are lightly tossed in flour to maximize their crunch potential after being roasted in the oven or fried in oil.

🟫 We bought a number of these snack beans to bring home as souvenirs for family members...

Here you can try various types of favoured beans, including sakura, ume, mayonnaise, and black salt favours. It's tasty but also quite pricey eg. 280 yen for roughly 65 gram of ume-favoured beans. Also, it can be very crowdy during weekends. Although it's nice in general, I deduct one star because I find it less creative as compared to Mameya (another bean shop)...

This store is doing some pretty magical things with all kinds of beans! Very generous in letting people samples many varieties. I was pleasantly surprised by many I tried. I also left the store enjoying a sweet potato ice cream cone that was...
