Went here in 2018 and last week. Both experiences with this rental service were great. They do not just hand you over a bicycle after filling in the rental form with a short explanation how the bike works and good luck with it. No, they also give you a map of the area and information about the traffic and parking rules. And where there is free parking or paid. Also, they will adjust the seat height for you and I know, these seem trivial, but it is the little touches that makes their service great.
This time we rented e-bikes for longer distances. My bike got a flat twice. At first it looked like it just needed some air when receiving the bike and all seem fine. But the next day, it was flat again. Luckily we were staying nearby, so I went by and they replaced mine immediately and apologized profusely.
When there is a next visit and I need a bike, I will surely go to this...
ย ย ย Read moreHighly recommend this bicycle rental. Easy to find location, central to main area of Kyoto. Staff were very kind, patient and worked with us to find suitable bikes. We arrived close to 11am and most bikes were taken, so getting in early is our best advice. 2 electric bikes were excellent quality and all instructions were made clear. We also hired helmets and a phone holder. The experience of riding around Kyoto was one of the best things we have done. Made easy with the advice of the staff. Highly recommend doing this, it's not hard, the roads are sometimes busy but traffic are always considerate. They advise on where you can park bikes while exploring. Thank...

We had already asked this at another rental and they said we would have to pay 2 days. (You need to make sure you have a safe place to park the bike for the night so it does not get towed away) We wished we had rented from them since day one and gotten the bikes for 5 consecutive days. The city is very comfortable for cycling and nice to go further than you would if you would walk, f.e. like going to the philosopher trail. (Is basically a flat city so you donโt need gears) Their rates are also good. I attached a photo...
