Called into the store today for the first time. I was looking for yarn for Stephen West MKAL so I was hoping to find beautiful yarn, lots of colours and lots of choices. I was not disappointed! This store is obviously passionate about beautiful yarns for beautiful projects, amazing colours and selections. The staff were very helpful and were also knitting the MKAL! Japan has a great supply of yarn and material shops, however most chain stores have the same limited supply of yarn and colours so Walnut was a great find. I won't go...

Wonderful yarn and supplies in Kyoto. Not too far from the main station (10 min taxi or 30 min walk). Hidden down a smaller street you’ll see a small chalk board (pictured) head up the stairs one level and you are there. Lush selection of yarns. I was surprised to see lots of foreign yarn as I had imagined walls of Japanese yarn. I enjoyed the browse and purchased some nice needles as well as some beautiful merino. Highly recommended. A fantastic little shop a short walk from Kyoto station. Has a wide range of yarns available, pattern books, needles, buttons and everything you need for a successful knitting project. The staff are incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. They speak English which is a great help. They also offer tax free shopping. Definitely worth a visit if you are into...
