I went here a few days ago (May 8th) with my wife, looking to potentially buy a Kimono. I am so happy we found this place!
Two very friendly and helpful ladies working in the store at the time helped us a lot. They showed us different options of fabrics, showed us options fitting in different price ranges, and explained what each part of the outfit was. We didn't know too much about Kimono, so their information was extremely helpful!
They ended up helping my wife pick out this really beautiful green Bingata style Kimono with other matching accessories, including the special shoes with the Tabi socks. They also let us take pictures of her in the outfit and had a mirror nearby so she can always look and see how it fits on her.
This was very special to us as the kimono was an anniversary present from me to her, and the staff were helping us so much for close to an hour with our decision. We really appreciate it! Thank you so much!
Anyone who wants to check out Kimonos to buy, definitely stop by here. They have options covering all kinds of price ranges and are very good at explaining the differences and appeals...
Read moreI had such a wonderful experience at this kimono shop in Kyoto. I was traveling alone and a bit nervous because my Japanese is limited, but the staffs were incredibly kind, patient, and helpful. They dressed me in the yukatas I picked out, free of charge.
I ended up getting two yukatas from the shop. One is yellow and purple with a grape pattern, which felt lively and perfect for summer. The other one has a more kimono-style look, in a deep blue with elegant chrysanthemum designs. It felt more refined.
After leaving Kyoto, I wore one of the yukatas in Osaka and got so many compliments. People kept asking me where I got it from, and a few tourists even asked to take pictures with me.
Highly recommend this shop if you’re in Kyoto!! They have beautiful pieces and truly go above and beyond to make sure you...
Read moreI arrived at this small and humble shop with a very warm and welcoming atmosphere looking for a yukata. Miyuki was very helpful in providing recommendations for yukata designs and color combinations based on my preferences. I walked out extremely satisfied and even had a fun conversation with Miyuki and her father. For ease of purchases, they do accept certain credit cards and provide tax-free purchases for travelers.
There are order-made options as well, but please note that it may take about 30 days or longer. I'm definitely planning to come back to make an order made kimono...
