During our recent visit to Japan, we had the pleasure of dining at Wagyu Yakiniku, and it was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was cute but simple — nothing overly fancy, but clean and comfortable. While the ambiance isn’t the main draw, you’re not coming here for the atmosphere — you’re coming for the beef.
We opted for both the Kobe beef and Wagyu beef, and each bite was a testament to the quality and expertise behind the preparation. The marbling in the Kobe beef was extraordinary, melting in our mouths with an almost buttery texture. The Wagyu had a rich, umami flavor that was enhanced by the perfect char from the grill. Every piece was tender, juicy, and packed with flavor.
The service was absolutely amazing — our server, Riho, didn’t skip a beat, seamlessly managing everything from cooking some of the meat to keeping our water glasses full. Riho’s attentiveness and friendly demeanor added to the overall experience, making us feel truly taken care of.
To top it off, I even ventured off and tried a Matcha beer, which was a unique and refreshing surprise. Its earthy bitterness paired surprisingly well with the richness of the beef, adding another layer of depth to the meal.
To round out the meal, we enjoyed a variety of side dishes, including perfectly seasoned vegetables and traditional Japanese rice, which balanced the richness of the beef.
If you’re looking for an unforgettable steak experience in Japan, Wagyu Yakiniku is a must-visit. The quality of the meat, Riho’s exceptional service, and the overall dining experience make it stand out as one of the best steak restaurants in...
Read moreMy girlfriend and I were amazed by the experience we had at your restaurant. The food and service was exceptional!
Food: As a meat lover, I definitely wanted to taste wagyu beef on our trip to Japan in a dedicated meat restaurant. My girlfriend is vegetarian so we were unsure if we had to get dinner at to separate places. Yakiniku offered not only the meat menues (6 courses for 40.000 Yen (Kobe Wagyu), 15.000 (Wagyu) or 27.000 (a mix - the rib eye being Kobe, all other courses being "normal" Wagyu)) but also a vegetarian option (vegetable tempura, rice bowl, salad, dessert, etc.) for my girlfriend. It was plenty of meat and we would have been able to get more sides (salad, rice, noodles) if needed. I went for the 15.000 yen option and it did not disappoint. I had Kobe/Wagyu before in Germany but this was not comparable.
Service: all staff were extremely friendly and the service exceptional. We were guided through the whole experience and received tips on how to enjoy each course to the fullest.
A big shout out to Takeru and Riho for the great service and preparation of food. We really enjoyed...
Read moreWe visited this wonderful restaurant to celebrate my girlfriend's birthday during our trip to Japan, and it was an absolute highlight of our time in Kyoto. We ordered the recommended Kobe Wagyu set and were completely blown away. The amount of food was more than generous, and every single dish was fantastic. The meat was, without a doubt, the star of the show – it was incredibly delicious and just melted in our mouths. I also decided to try the matcha beer and was so glad I did! Even though I'm not usually a big fan of matcha, it was surprisingly refreshing and tasty. What truly made our evening special, however, was the incredible staff. A special thank you to Yui (由依) for her exceptionally friendly and welcoming attitude. The entire team worked to create a memorable experience for us. As a wonderful surprise at the end of our meal, they took a photo of us, printed it, and gave it to us as a gift. It was such a thoughtful and personal touch that we will cherish. Thank you for making my girlfriend's...
