I was over charged by their website reservation. I have no idea why their price is different in store, klook and website which is way more expensive. I made a reservation from their website which was charged 8500 yen for couple set with hair set included for girl. Their website put 1000 yen discount for regular kimono. Then when i reach there, I saw their price is start from 2200 yen per set only and i asked the man (i think he is boss) for 1000yen discount as per their website, the man said "you already paid and no discount". And then i can only choose the regular kimono. At first, I thought my price was higher is bcoz i choose the one day rental. Then I saw some shops are way more cheaper than this shop (2200 -3000 yen per day only) After I reach hotel, and I feel doubtful about their price, I checked again in Google and i check on klook for the same package then I found out the price on klook is only 5500 yen for one day rental ๐. And some people said can bargain in store as well. So, better donโt make online reservations via their website which is higher price for same quality products. The service was okay. Only the price is not worth it for what I got and feel scammed for their anyhow over charge for the same quality product๐ .
Additional Info... They replied my review and emailed me for their refund but in the end, they didn't refund any different amount and not even reply my email even though I did provide the bank information as they...
ย ย ย Read moreConflicting experience. I booked a couple Kimono experience via Chase activities. The advertisement for the experience was everything needed for the kimono rental, in the description they mentioned hair as well (which led me to think hair styles were included). They unfortunately were not and I ended up having to pay extra on the day of. I didnโt mind this as the woman doing my hair did a fantastic job and was so sweet.
The cons were that if you are an English speaker, the service by their English staff was not the best (hence the lower rating). It was rushed and no helped was provided when we were trying to find kimonos to wear. I saw how the other staff members would offer input, explain the differences, but our helper didnโt really seem interested in this. It honestly took away from the first time experience of wearing kimonos. They also do not offer socks for shoe rentals as per our helper, but I did see others with socks, so overall the whole process was quite confusing, rushed, and hectic. With the number of kimono rental spots in GION, I would say...
ย ย ย Read moreWe went here as a group (max 8 people) to rent kimonos for the tea ceremony, nearby. In the shop there are kimonos of all types and colors, some are included in the basic fee, while for others, more precious, a fee is added. In addition to the kimono (which is a combination of two layers of dress) we were also given socks with the big toe sewn separate from the other toes in order to wear the typical wooden slippers and a handbag to store essential personal effects. What an emotion! The ladies helped us get dressed, in fact this too is a real ritual! For an additional price you can also request make-up and hair styling, but in that case you need to count on more time. Personally I felt a little tight in the bodice they put on, but it's a common effect and we've been assured that it's perfectly normal, you get used to it after a while! Try this experience, it's so suggestive, you...
