Service is bloody atrocious at the Gion outlet (we are here 2 Nov at 3 plus pm). We were trying to buy shoes and waited a long time for a shop attendant to attend to us (shop not busy), so I flagged down an attendant coming out of the storeroom. He said "I'm busy, I can't help you", rather than flagging down another attendant for us. We finally got attended to, and were about to purchase the shoe when we noticed a stain. So we tried to find another attendant to help us. And as we were waiting for another attendant, a Japanese customer came. And the shop attendant asked my partner, who was holding the shoes, to move off the seat so the Japaneze lady could sit down. There was a huge space I the middle of the bench, with a young Chinese tourist sitting at one end playing a game. And my partner was sitting right at the other end. Unobtrusive. Don't understand why the sales man had to make my partner get up, holding his shoe box, turn In a circle around the bench, and then say he can sit elsewhere. What the holy heck happened?
