Animate Kyoto — Local services in Kyoto

I have visited Japan many times and have always admired the country’s high standards of hospitality. However, my recent experience at this store was shockingly disappointing.

When I asked for assistance with a machine problem, the staff member treated my request as a nuisance rather than providing help. Since I do not speak Japanese, I used a translation app to communicate, yet the staff sighed and responded in a dismissive and rude manner. This behavior is completely unacceptable, especially given that the store was not even busy at the time.

Such an attitude shows a lack of basic professionalism and respect for customers. I would strongly warn foreign visitors against going to this store, as their unprofessional service can easily ruin what should be a pleasant and...

7 stories of pure anime. They have a ton of stuff but didn’t have what I was looking for. I wanted Overlord stuff or Pokémon. It had a lot of comics, sticker ball machines, posters, movies, movies, and more movies. A gorgeous store and a must-visit for any Anime fan visiting Kyoto. All items here are new, so expect to pay cover price for CDs, DVDs, manga, and more. Unlike many Animate stores, this one is all on one floor and they seemed to be a little more than half the girls-focused products rather than boys. Good for me but maybe not for everyone else. This store is located right inside Nishiki Market, so it's easy to visit while checking out dozens of other shops...
