Shopping Experience Review: The staff lack professional knowledge and are completely incapable of meeting customers’ needs—especially when it comes to introducing and explaining the use of knives. It is highly doubtful that they have received any proper training. The knives are ridiculously overpriced. The exact same knives are sold online for 25% less. Anyone considering purchasing on-site should think twice before making such a regrettable decision. The store’s lighting is far too dim, making it difficult to properly inspect the blade for any damage. Moreover, they do not provide any cutting tests, which means customers end up unknowingly purchasing a damaged and dull knife. There are many better knife shops in Osaka that offer professional service, a far superior shopping experience, and reasonable prices. Shopping at this store feels like nothing more than a blatant attempt to exploit customers like...

Much better value than other knife shops around the corner. However, don’t expect the super personal consultation/experience you’d get elsewhere. They’re not gonna be pulling out tomatoes/carrots for you to chop and giving you knife sharpening lessons. I asked for a specific knife type, steel type, and handle type - the lady looked at my aggressively gaijin face and handed me a very generic santoku knife. Once I could flag her down again and repeat the request, she was much more helpful. But again, more as a salesperson and less of a consultant. All in English though, good selection, polite, and fair prices from what I can tell. Be advised they, give you a little trinket if you give them a review, hence the perfect 5 star rating. All in all, do advise stopping here if you don’t care about engraving and know generally...

One of my todo list in Tokyo was to pick up a knife! (Japanese Knife) and I found that place!

The staff was very friendly and helpful. I met this gentleman Edo ( ask for him) he detailed everything about the knives and understood my requirement.

I was looking for knife to use for vegetable and fruit cutting as I am vegetarian. He gave me some suggestions and he was very knowledgeable.

Though I was super impressed with handmade knives( yes they do have that , but super expensive) I found one within my budget. 28k JPY.

Don’t forget to pickup stone sharpener along with angler. They are not very heavy to carry it back. You will need them after a year or so.

One more thing
.. they will help engrave your name for free!

Don’t forget to enjoy your walk when you explore! I recommend this place for long awaited...
