Bad experience. One of the two ladies in the casher had bad attitude and bad communication skill, who is the senior staff I think. She can speak English just impatient and kept interrupting me when I was trying to explain. I found a glue stain on the shoes before I was going to pay. I asked for removing it. one of the two who looks like a junior staff asked me if I wanted to change to a new pair, they can offer a new pair. I said i just need you help to clean the glue, as I could not get rid of it. No need to change the other pair. Then she went to ask the other senior lady but she told the junior not to do it. So I think itās ok if they donāt want to do it, then just change it as this is quicker. They asked me to wait aside, they start to serve other customers, who forgot brought the passport so the two ladies told them they can reserve their shoes. (During their conversation I know they can speak English). Having waiting for a long time the casher came back and ask me if I am ok to with the current pair. I have to explain again that I wanted to get rid of the glue or change a new pair. They didnāt want to talk to me in English so they typed in the tablet āall sameā and showed to me. If all the shoes have glue stain then this means the quality control of this brand is really bad. So I told them I wanted to see another pair they told me oh there wasnāt another pair. This is ridiculous, if there is not another pair why they offer me to change in the beginning? Then I told her I can try another larger size she didnāt allow me to talk keep saying no no no, very impatiently. Other staff looks nice but only the senior lady in the casher need re-train about how to communicate and be patient to all the customers...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWas planning to stop by after finishing at the Nintendo store but after walking by and seeing people were lining up even before the store opened, I decided to join the line too! I lined up at 10:20a (I was 7th in line) while the store opens at 11a, and the line kept getting longer and longer. After the doors opened at 11a, they let in people slowly in groups for crowd control inside the store. It would be best if you already know what shoe(s) you want and approximate size so you can be in and out because it gets crowded fast even with them controlling how many people are in the store. I got a pair of EDR 78s and was helped out by S. Kobayashi san who was proficient in English and also understood my basic classroom Japanese. Shoutout to Kobayashi san for being kind, helpful, and efficient! Much better experience than the Shibuya store where you could barely step in the store, let alone ask an employee for assistance. Highly recommend going in the morning and line up ~30-45 mins before they open to have a pleasant...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI had a bad shopping experience here. At the time, the store was very crowded and there were no staff members helping me. Then I approached one of the staff and asked for help to find the shoe size I wanted. When he came back, it turned out that the size I wanted wasnāt available, and he just waved his hand at me from a distance with an unwilling expression, without asking if there was another size Iād like to try. I tried to ask for another size, but he seemed unwilling to listen and didnāt want to assist me.
At the same moment, another tourist (a Westerner) saw what happened and thought the staff was talking to him. And you know what? The staff immediately smiled warmly at the Western tourist and said he was actually talking to me, not them. Oh, I felt a bit of racism there. From that moment on, I swore Iād never buy Onitsuka Tiger...
