BRAND OFF — Local services in Kyoto

We are a Chinese couple that visited the shop today and received the WORST racist treatment we have ever encountered in our many years of travelling to Japan. We have visited countless of stores all over in Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka and we were never treated this way before. The male staff in question saw us standing there for a long time and made no effort to serve us. In the end we called him over and he came over reluctantly and had no smiles at all. When we asked if there were anymore bigger diamond items he replied NO. When asked if there will be any new stock coming in he simply replied NO. No smiles , extremely rude. He even looked me up and down and took a deliberately look at the jewellery I wore as if to size up if we could afford their jewellery. To top off the whole terrible experience , he slammed the mirror shut with a bang and had no apologies and simply walked away without asking us if we needed any other assistance for anything else. This is the WORST shop I have been to in Japan and will not recommend this shop to anyone that has the slightest bit of respect and dignity for themselves. I visited Brand Off Kyoto 3 times during my trip, and each time, the staff were very kind and helpful. I never felt pressured to buy, and they had a great selection of bags, at more than fair prices. I appreciated that my sales associate, Deguchi, did his best communicating with me in English. Despite the language barrier, he made me feel welcome and provided detailed information regarding the bags in which I was interested. I need to revise my review because after they had me pay, the person that was packaging my bag had try to force the bag into the dust bag folding the handles and distorting the bag itself. There was no proper care of the product itself, I felt like I was paying for a random bag off the street with the way they handled the product after I paid.
