Such a great store selling Japanese plateware and glassware. There was such an abundance of beautiful selections, I wanted to buy everything (lack of luggage space, sadly)!!. My favourite was that certain pieces were marked as handmade to support local artisans. The store was being run by a father/son combo, it was an easy choice to support local businesses near the Gion district. They were so friendly and helpful, they wrapped my cups in bubble wrap and have reached their destination in Canada in one piece. A cute pottery shop with lots of cups, bowls and small trinkets. Much of the "earthenware" style but other styles too. The pottery seemed unique as I hadn't seen any of the designs in any other shops. There was a lot of adorable ceramic chopstick rests, and I just had to buy some.

The second floor presented some special type of pottery, not sure what exactly but it was enjoyable to experience the feel of an old Japanese house as well as some beautiful handicrafts.

The lady didn't speak much English but some, but she was so cute and thankful so it was all okay. Would go back for some...
