Shijō Station — Local services in Kyoto

As all the stations are in Japan, clean and trains on time, there is basically nothing to complain about.

This station is LONGGGG. You can basically walk underground all the way to Gion, which is Exit 1. The pink shaded area on Google Map basically means the underground walkway. I didn't know it until I experienced the "long walk". It feels great especially when it is super hot outside.

For those finding Smiling Hotel Kyoto Shijo, go to Exit 25 and turn left. In like 3-4 blocks, you'll find the hotel, which is next to Family Mart and across the street from a supermarket....

The staff at north gate on Dec 30, around 17:30-18:00 was very rude. I was asking politely in English mixed with a little Japanese (as I’m not fluent in Japanese) trying to solve the problem of charge. He was very irritated, loud, and mean. Please be careful if you do not want to ruin the good mood...

It’s very easy to navigate if you know it, less so if you don’t. Connects to the underground walkway that can keep you out of the rain, all the way from Karasuma to Kawaramachi down...
