I visited for the second time recently because I remembered eating their white chocolate strawberry daifuku on a previous trip to Nara. This time, I tried their pear daifuku. It was life-changing how good it was. I’m not embarrassed to say I went back twice once I learned they’d be closed the next day. Wow. I wish I could have one every day.

Mochi skin was very soft and the pear was juicy; very tasty and not too sweet. Price was reasonable and the staff was friendly.

Simply incredible if you like sweets. Lovely and helpful staff, excellent options, accepts all major forms of international payment. Go before noon and get their mochi while it’s ultra fresh; it’s smooth and silky like butter (the fruit-filled ones were my favorite; strawberries are kind of a Nara “thing”). The best Mochi I’ve had in Japan, rivals the all-time greats for quality. I hope this location continues to thrive for...
