Umasshu — Restaurant in Nara

This was a pleasant surprise. Did not know where and what to eat and found this spot minutes from the Hotel.

Ordered 3 different nihonshu, karaage, tempura, sashimi and everything was great. The staff was very kind and generous on the pours. Even the cooks wanted to know if we liked the food and the place; they cared about us. Less than 5.000¥ for 2 people.

Place was pretty full (locals only), but they had an english menu for us, but I still recommend using the japanese card for ordering Nihonshu (Saké) since you have a lot more options!

Ask the staff for recommandations based on your taste and they shall help you with a smile.

The choices for sake is plentiful and really compliments the food! Between clicking to order the drinks from the menu and the drinks reaching your table is almost instantaneous!

奈良の東向商店街を歩いているとよさげなお店を発見です。 奈良の酒蔵全部呑み うまっしゅ 旨酒=うまっしゅ なんですね。 日本酒好きにはたまんないお店ですよ。

中に入ると左手にたくさんのお酒が冷やされています。 見ているだけでテンションがあがりますね。

カウンター席に座ってメニューとにらめっこです。 喉が渇いていたので、とりあえずビールからのスタートです。 赤星があったのでオーダーします。 では、では、乾杯～♪ ぷふぁ～、旨い!!

さて、さて、アテは何にしましょうかね。 トマトに揚げ出し豆腐と魚の焼いたのも頼みましょう。 日本酒に合ってバッチリ美味しかったですよ。

日本酒は、生しぽり純米酒からのスタートです。 奈良県五條市にある「五條酒造」のお酒です。 新酒ならではのフレッシュな味わいがたまりません。 米の風味とこうじの香りが五感をくすぐります。 ぐいぐい飲めてしまいます。

次に南部だくだくを飲みました。 奈良県香芝市五位堂にある「澤田酒造」のお酒です。 にごり酒となっています。 酸味が効いていて米の風味がドーンと押し寄せてきます。 にごり好きにはたまんない逸品ですね。 そうそう、このお酒にしたのは、お店に入っていくときに 他のお客さんがオーダーしていて お店の人が「開封しました～」ってのを聞いたからです。 なになに、開封したてだって～。 で、オーダーしちゃいました。 やっぱり開封したては違いますね。 とってもおいしく飲む事が出来ました。

サービスもよく居心地の良いお店でした。 商店街の奥まったとこにあるので見逃し注意です。
