I feel a need post this after seeing some of the low reviews within a year of my writing this. For context, I lived and worked in Viet Nam for four years in the past, and am pretty familiar with the different styles of Vietnamese dishes across the country. This restaurant is really quite authentic. While the style of serving the food is adjusted a little for Japan, the taste of the dishes are spot on. People complaining about the flavor of some of the dishes clearly haven't eaten authentic Vietnamese before, as the dishes themselves match what I saw daily in Viet Nam.
My wife and I live in Nara, and it's a pleasure to come here for a meal. The canh chua is a really nice soup, the uncooked nem/spring rolls are pleasant (though obviously more expensive than in Viet Nam), the my xao and pho xao noodle dishes are great, and the dessert che is refreshing (though I wish they'd tap into the regional variations; southern style with fried bananas are awesome).
It should also be noted the cooks are also Vietnamese (at least for all the times I've been there). People dismissing the food here probably have never eaten ACTUAL...

The broth was spicy and super flavorful, highly recommended if you love spicy food! 🌶️ The side dish came with a fresh veggie salad, prawn crackers, and rice with pork. With this price, I was full and satisfied, and everything was delicious! I also ordered Fresh Spring Rolls, you can order them individually at a cheap price. They come with two types of dipping sauces, and I honestly loved both! 🫶🏻
The restaurant is on the 2nd floor, a bit small but has plenty of seating, so no worries! The cozy atmosphere really gives off Vietnam vibes. They also sell Vietnamese/Southeast Asian sauces and products, which is pretty cool. Service was great, and they have staff who can speak English!

The restaurant has a warm and cozy atmosphere. The decor is simple but very nice. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
The food is simply delicious - full of flavour and the perfect amount of spices. The vegetables used are crisp and fresh. The spring rolls are awesome.
The restaurant has a great lunch set menu - many things are available. The restaurant is very popular so get there early, to avoid lineups. Take out is available and English menu is available. They also sell sauces, spices, etc.
