Extremely disappointing service. In all my trips to Japan, I’ve rarely encountered rudeness, but today was an unfortunate exception. We ordered okonomiyaki and yakisoba for takeout and were asked to wait inside the shop. Later, my husband brought in two skewers from another stall, so we politely asked if we could switch our order to dine-in to enjoy the food there. However, the chef responded in a very condescending tone, claiming there were no seats available. This was clearly untrue—only one table was occupied, with at least five or six others empty. When my husband asked again, the chef repeated the same response, even louder. Even my 9-year-old daughter was upset by his attitude. We will definitely not...

I have tried several takoyaki spots in the area, and this one is by far the best. They make truly traditional and delicious takoyaki with big tako inside. I have no affiliation with the place, but I genuinely don't understand some of the negative reviews. It seems that some tourists complain the takoyaki is undercooked inside. Well, that’s actually how it’s meant to be! The outside should be crispy, while the inside remains soft and gooey. I didn’t realize this when I first visited Osaka about 18 years ago and almost complained at a restaurant. Now, after all these years, I truly appreciate what makes great takoyaki. Different people have different opinions, but after trying different takoyakis from different spots on dotonbori street, we rank this as our number one !!! The octopus in this takoyaki are so big compared to every other place!! We are so amazed… The taste of the batter is also so yummy. It is gooey and crispy at the same time!!! Love the thick bonito flakes too :) this required no mayo for it to be so creamy. Melted in our mouths. ALSO WE ATE IT TWO TIMES to double confirm the awesomeness.
