Camera Collection — Local services in Sapporo

I am so happy! The employees at Camera Collection are very knowledgeable and seemed so happy to help when I came in looking for a new lens for my camera!

I needed something light weight compared to my current very heavy lens. I am a foreigner and do not speak Japanese, but through google translate and some english we had a great experience! I wish I knew this employees name because he was fantastic and deserves much praise. He showed me a few lenses and explained differences, and ended up showing me the perfect 18-55mm lens that was exactly what I needed. The lens was a very fair price compared to the other camera stores I have been in Japan!

Small shop tucked in the corner of the 7th floor of the Tokyu department store. Very competitive prices although the selection is small due to the size of the shop. Guy behind the counter didn't give me any weird looks or gruff answers for being a browsing foreigner, which I really appreciate. All used camera gear and roughly 2/3s film/vintage and about 1/3 modern digital used stuff. Worth a stop if you're a used camera...

I managed to get a great camera here at a reasonable price – and the condition was excellent. I even got a small discount by trading in my previous camera.

They also sell Kodak film at a much lower price than most electronics stores, which was a nice surprise.

The selection of cameras might not be huge, but to be fair, I was looking for something very budget-friendly – there aren’t many options in that price...
