I personally don’t get the bad reviews. I have never been medicated for my OCD and anxiety despite being diagnosed so young, so I was scared of starting so late in life but my journey has been amazing thanks to the clinic. The entire staff are extremely kind and helpful. Sure there’s been just 1-2 times the office hasn’t remembered small details like other reviews complain about, but my mental illness is getting better and my life has been changed so I can’t nitpick the service! That’s all that matters for me, and personally, I think the service is way more than fine!
Dr. Andrew always listens to my concerns and reassures me, and he even trusted my confidence in starting fluvoxamine despite thinking maybe something else would be better to try out, and he has been nothing but glad that it’s working out for me! In fact, the only reason he didn’t want me taking another medication was because he felt it was unethical to recommend something more expensive to me with similar effects even though it obviously makes him and the clinic more money he said, which made me feel confident I found the right doctor for me. The office is also always able to fit me in asap when I am not doing well or need more meds, Toshi at the front desk is especially helpful. The price here is high, but given it’s the only place I’ve found in Tokyo with english support, I can’t complain since it’s completely...
Read moreThe staff and nurses at this clinic are phenomenal, and always treated me with care and empathy. The location is very accessible, and the general vibe is welcoming and safe. However, while Dr. Kissane is a helpful and likeable person, he prioritizes standardized questionnaire metrics over clinical judgment and patient input. Despite multiple clear statements that my symptoms were driven by life circumstances rather than medication issues, I was kept on a psychiatric medication for 18+ months - far longer than the 3-6 month standard for my condition. Every appointment included recommendations to increase dosage and extend treatment, with pressure disguised as 'patient choice.' My current psychiatrist was shocked by the duration of this prescription. I'm still dealing with physical side effects over a year after stopping the medication, which may be permanent. Be very cautious if considering psychiatric medication at this clinic unless you know exactly what you need and are prepared to advocate strongly against pressure to start or continue inappropriate treatments. The metric-driven approach may override your reported experience and...
Read moreMy daughter just went to this clinic and had a video counseling and picked up the meds recently. The fee for the video session was ridiculously expensive!! Just one hour video session, she was charged ¥40000. They charged ¥12000 for the meds as well. This clinic doesn’t accept Japanese insurance, so someone like my daughter, a student in Japan, the cost was way too much!
Also, the receptionist was extremely unprofessional. The initial communication for the zoom call and credit card payment were terrible. If they charge this much, they should have informed in advance but they charged without telling her.
The only good thing - the doctor was very professional according to my daughter. If you are thinking about this clinic just because they speak English, I wouldn’t recommend. The fee is way too much. Ask them how much is going to cost including tax and hidden fee before you make an appointment!
I DO NOT...
