The perfect start to every day of our stay.

We stayed at the Intercontinental Tokyo for a week, and every single morning we were greeted and looked after by Matteus at Cascade Café. He is without doubt one of the kindest, warmest, and most helpful people we met in Japan.

From the very first day, he made us feel completely welcome and at home. Nothing was ever too much trouble — whether it was helping us with breakfast, offering thoughtful recommendations, or just making sure our day started on the best possible note. He consistently went above and beyond, and his genuine care and professionalism really stood out.

Breakfast itself was excellent, but it was Matteus’ hospitality that made it truly memorable. We looked forward to seeing him every morning, and he became an important part of our experience in Tokyo.

Thank you, Matteus, for making our mornings so special — you are a credit to the Intercontinental and to the...

My Wife and I are on our honeymoon and are travelling from Australia. What caught our eye immediately after checkin was the chocolate fondue fountain and we had decided that this will be the place for dinner. The service is amazing and the selection of food covers every food craving. The chef Marcos Gonzales was very friendly and was chatting to us (probably the first buffet chef to ever speak to me) which didn’t just make me feel like I was customer but instead a friend. The manager Shakti Rana and his team was also very attentive to our table and was also Shakti was talking to us and showing interest in our holiday, which also really added the feeling that we weren’t just customers.

The service at this buffet is really good and the buffet food is top quality. I highly recommend to anyone travelling or wanting a fancy dinner. They even had a live guitarist playing in the background which set a...

Went to visit on April 20th, we had a 17:30 reservation. It’s been a while since we last dined at Cascade Café, and it was nice to be back. I noticed they’ve done a bit of renovation, which added a lovely touch to the overall ambience—I really enjoyed the cozy atmosphere.

However, I was disappointed with the service. Throughout our meal, we had to call the staff multiple times just to clear the empty plates from our table. With three of us dining, the plates started to pile up, and we even had to stack them ourselves because we were running out of space. We were seated near the staff booth, so several staff members walked past us repeatedly, but none of them took the initiative to help. It became quite frustrating having to constantly ask for assistance.

I hope the management takes note, as we’d love to come back again for the food and ambiance—hopefully with improved...

Cascade Café has a warm, welcoming vibe that instantly sets the tone for a great experience. It's stylish yet cozy—perfect for everything from leisurely lunches to elegant dinners. The lavish buffet is a true feast for the senses, brimming with fresh, beautifully presented dishes that cater to every palate. I was a bit disappointed that there were only few vegetarian main dishes but overall I was quite satisfied. What really elevates the experience is the service. The staff are attentive and gracious, and a special mention must go to Shakti Rana, whose professionalism and helpful nature stand out. Shakti’s leadership adds a quiet brilliance to the team—ensuring every guest leaves feeling cared for and delighted. A place that blends charm, quality, and genuine hospitality. Highly recommended for all sizes of groups. 🍽️✨

Tried the dinner buffet here. The seafood menu included fish cake, fried fly oyster, saute tuna's cheek with garlic, anglur fish and cuttle fish bouillabaisse, grilled scallop in miso sauce, clam chowder, fish head soup, smoke salmon, crab... Be frank, the food provided was not terrible but very average standard. Nothing outstanding nor exceeded expectations. Only tap water, hot water and tea were free flow and included in the charge. Other beverages were at additional costs. If interested, please consider making a reservation online. There was a decent discount offer.
