First of all, this hat is amazingly hot when you wear it! Second, it’s embarrassing 😂 Jokes aside, Ikea 渋谷店 is the biggest in Central Tokyo, they have pretty much everything you need to start a new life in a new home. Most of the workers are foreigners (I mean Chinese speakers), it has 6 floors I believe, with a restaurant on the top floor. The path you usually follow in an Ikea store like in Tachikawa or bigger like those is way different, is more exactly like Nitori in Shibuya (if you have been). The only thing I hate of the store are the escalators, they are made in a random direction, on a certain floor you don’t know which way is they way up or down. When you enter the store from the main entrance, you can smell Cinnamon because they sells Cinnamon Rolls... but overall is a pretty big store, happy to have it in Shibuya!

Restaurant: The restaurant is great, the quality of food is amazing and the Swedish meatballs which were inspired by Turkish köfte are great, I reccomend the meatballs and the croissants. My wife divorced me because the food was so delicious.
Store: While the service is great and the products are good, I wanted to buy a KOLON floor protector, it costs about 2000-3000 yen, but the delivery fee was about 4000 yen, they expected me to pay a delivery fee which was more than the product. I asked if they could ship it to the store and I'll pick it up myself they said "no". Quite disappointed in IKEA Japan, it seems that all Japanese branches of foreign companies (Ikea, Amazon) tend to be worse here than...
Read moreOne of the coolest and most interesting IKEA Stores I have ever been to. Making the most out of little space, this inner-City store is unlike most of the big IKEA stores in the suburbs most people know. Making very good use of the concept but also having implemented some smart ideas and solutions, including the futuristic escalators, this is a beautiful store to visit. Everything is in shape as new and very tidy. Very beautiful bistro and restaurant as well. The food tasted great - the hotdog buns were a lot more tasty than in Germany. It was a pleasure to visit my Japanese colleagues at IKEA for Business - thank you for being so friendly! An absolute recommendation for tourists to visit this IKEA to grab some Japan/Shibuya Limited items. Tack så mycket / arigato gozaimasu...
