Shibuya Parco — Local services in Tokyo

Decent shopping centre but if you're reading this in English then you're probably coming here for the merchandising shops on the 6th floor. The parco department store doesn't open until 11am but the 6th floor opens at 10am so I'd advise arriving early as all the shops get busy. The 6th floor has the Nintendo store which is the biggest shop on the floor, the pokemon store which is the second biggest, there's currently a sega shop, capcom store, godzilla store, pop up mother/earthbound store, pop up katamari cafe, and jojo world. The jojo world is very popular and you need a timed ticket to enter. All the stores are good, the Nintendo and pokemon ones in particular are superb. All the other shops are quite small but they all have cool stuff, I particularly liked the katamari and mother shops, not sure how long they will be around for. The jojo world one was a bit extortionate, all the merchandise is expensive, there are a lot of prize games, all of which are expensive, you need to be careful with the prize draw one as often the best prizes are already won. You are likely to be spending a lot of money on gaming merchandise here, most of it is cool and worth the price to...

Shibuya Parco is a hidden gem. Though most of the fashion and brand stores are very expensive, the basement floor has a nice variety of restaurants and bars!

The fifth floor is also full of expensive brands however I was very lucky to find a Twisted Wonderland uniform collection, a Lolita Clothes Fashion brand shop as well as a life size figure of the main girl from the manga/anime Rental Girlfriend🤣🤣🤣

Then on the upper floor (6th I think) you can find many gamer and otaku-related stores: Koei Tecmo Store, Touken Ranbu pop-up shop, Nintendo Store, Capcom Store, Shonen Jump Store AND A POKEMON CENTRE! In addition to that, this floor also has a themed cafe based on the latest pop culture trends and an e-gaming cafe as well.

From there, upper floors have even more restaurants, a cinema and a SKY GARDEN in which you can see the view of Tokyo up from an extremely tall garden at the top of Shibuya Parco.

Of all the department stores it is my favourite for having such a unique and fun layout....

There is a priority elevator on the right if you’re first entering the mall. Make sure to time it right because you won’t be able to press level 7 until the restaurants open up! We came here for the Pokémon center right when they opened, and we were able to change our little one away from the crowds on the cinema floor wc. It was empty and I guess not opened yet, so we stopped and caught our breaths. Level 6 was quite the experience- sensory and smell overload is a bit too much for me. It was nice to come to a floor with basically no one and relax before we went to the sushi restaurant on Level 7. We had a great Saturday brunch here! I highly recommend coming with kids in stroller, and hanging out till you can’t hang out any longer. Just don’t shop till you drop.
