I bought a T shirt. The tall young male employee with short black hair at Kith treats was so nice. He showed us every design with the size we wanted. I was a tourist so asked if they’d do tax free and he said yes. I had a stamp at the airport that was required for tax free purchase. It worked just fine at other stores nearby in Tokyo including Paul Smith, Arc’teryx, Adidas, Nike, Ito-ya, Tokyu Hands, among others. The young guy had to ask a female employee with long straight black hair about it and she said “that’s not enough”. I mentioned all the other stores did it fine and the stamp was all I got when I asked the airport employee for tax free purchase. Then she just said “we don’t do it like that.” I still found it strange Kith was the only store that didn’t accept the same thing but what really made me sad was her bad attitude. She is probably someone who is a little higher up working for the store than the young male employee, but the way she treated us completely destroyed our great shopping experience with the young male employee. Japan is known for giving great customer service and a popular store like Kith has that kind of bad customer service. I am sure no one would appreciate her attitude. I was almost going to just leave the store just because of her bad customer service but i just talked to the young guy to take care of my purchase.
I don’t care if it was tax free or not but the female employee with long straight black hair was unacceptable.
Do you understand repeat customers are really important to be able to keep on selling your stuff at your store? Do you know how you can get repeat customers? That happens when store stuff gives great experience to the customers and when the customers feel we want to buy things there because of the nice employees.
I like some of what Kith does but i can see arrogance as a store. She showed that part of this store perfectly. I will never go back to that store because of her. At least not until she works elsewhere. If I see her again I’m not getting in or leaving immediately. Thats how bad she was which I doubt she even realizes. Sad...
Read moreKith Tokyo is one of those rare stores where the whole experience feels special from the moment you arrive. I travel often and visit many flagships around the world, and this one truly stands out. The store itself is stunning, with beautiful design elements that make it worth visiting even if you are not planning to shop. It feels modern, polished, and inviting, the kind of space you want to spend time in.
What impressed me most was the team. Every single person I interacted with was kind, professional, and enthusiastic. There is a positive energy that fills the space and makes the shopping experience so much more enjoyable. The manager in particular deserves recognition. He set the tone for the entire team with his professionalism, warmth, and genuine care for customers. Watching him lead by example made it clear why the service felt so seamless. Honestly, every retail employee could learn something from how this team operates.
The level of customer service here goes far beyond what most stores deliver. Staff members were proactive in offering help, knowledgeable about the products, and patient while I asked questions or tried on items. They made me feel valued as a customer, which is something you do not always experience even at luxury retailers. It never felt rushed or transactional. Instead, it felt like they were proud to represent the brand and wanted to ensure each person left happy.
I only wish the store carried more Tokyo exclusive merchandise. With a location this impressive and a team this strong, it is the kind of place where you want to pick up something truly unique to mark the visit. Still, what they do have is curated beautifully and displayed in a way that makes the store easy to navigate and enjoy.
Overall, Kith Tokyo is a must visit. The combination of stunning design, world class service, and an inspiring team makes it one of the best retail experiences I have had anywhere. If you are in Tokyo and appreciate fashion, great spaces, or simply want to see how retail should be done, make sure this store is...
Read moreAs a big Kith fan, I was very dissapointed with Kith Tokyo. Probably the worst Kith store Ive been to. The store itself was lacking in terms of inventory and was missing a lot of the brands essentials, including accessories, hats, beanies, scarves, etc. The staff was ok, wasnt exceptional but wasnt poor. The one guy that did help me was nice and offered his help where he could. However, I have never been to a Kith store where you arent allowed to try on clothes?? I wanted to try on a tee but was told that I was not allowed to? Kith has always been known for their in store experience and their brand's idea is to always treat customers well. But how do you expect to uphold that when you dont even let the customers try on clothing? Thats not all, almost all the items they stock are about 20% more expenaive than the website as well as other Kith stores. Kind of ridiculous how they price gouge even at an official Kith store. I was thinking of buying the wool coaches jacket which is usually 800USD on the website, but it was close to 1000USD in store. I believe this is the only Kith store that Ronnie himself hasnt been to due to covid, and it really shows. Despite being run ny Junya Matano, Kith Tokyo seriously needs...
