LEARN WIRE-FU FROM THE WHITE POWER RANGER! Actually, it's much more than that. Makoto Yokoyama was not only the White Power Ranger but the action director for Power Rangers and continues to be active in productions. He is the real thing and his people are true professionals. I used to do a little work with a friend who is an independent director and had some small exposure to how productions go, but none of it involved action - this is not just an insanely fun activity but a real look at how filming works for action sequences (albeit on a much reduced scale, of course). The language he uses to direct the cameraman is the same as on any professional set.
This is absolutely worth the price - you'll be harnessed up, they'll have one person playing your "opponent", and 2-3 people on wire duty with one more person on camera. Then afterward they'll do some post-process editing and send you your own personalized action clip (complete with some bloopers if you were like us and lucky enough to really mess things up :P). Considering the amount of staffing involved and studio space, it's incredible what you get for what you pay.
Wire-fu is not easy! But Yokoyama-san was incredibly patient and flexible - he adjusted things on the fly as needed to suit each person. His English may not be perfect but he was great at communicating tips and directions. My husband and I had so much fun we actually booked a second session with them - and Yokoyama-san raised the bar! You won't get just more of the same with a second booking, you'll be doing even MORE dramatic things (as hard as that may be to believe)! LOL my husband was having so much fun he kept forgetting to put a serious face on so his video clip was all of him smiling like mad! So, if you have the time and can get the schedule to work, definitely try to fit in 2 sessions with them!
The website scheduler is kinda flaky, but don't be deterred, give them a call or drop them an email, they're definitely in business. We had to reach out directly and he apologized that the website software wasn't working, but he assures that they are planning on continuing to run Ninja-Wire. My husband and I will definitely be heading back when we are in...

Not when the experience is as fun, unique and awesome as Ninja Wire Action Experience. From a series of japanese action film industry veterans (including one of the original power ranger stunt performers!) you'll shoot a little action promo video doing flips, stunts, kicks and swordplay.
This was easily the most fun i've had in months! You'll flip in the air, you'll kick some ass and it'll be a blast. The host and the workers were incredibly kind and patient to lug my fat ass through the air (I weigh a smidge under 150kgs or 330 lbs) so if you want to make thier experience better, consider weighing less than me.
The only con is the google maps directions were a bit flawed; do not enter the building from the main door, go down the alley and look for ACTION STUDIO on one of the silver doors. Its a basement studio.
After you're done, you'll pose for some photos too.
A fun,...
Read moreNinja Wire Action was hands down the coolest experience we had in Tokyo, and that is saying a lot. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by a team of professional stunt performers who were talented, patient, and incredibly enthusiastic. They suited us up in a wire harness, walked us through the moves, and then choreographed a full Ninja battle straight out of an action film. Flying through the air, spinning, falling dramatically, and pulling off moves I never imagined I could do was pure adrenaline-fueled joy from start to finish. The instructors made everything feel safe, achievable, and unbelievably fun. And the final edited video was absolutely epic. We truly looked like movie stars. This is not just an activity. It is an unforgettable adventure. If you are a thrill seeker, a movie lover, or simply someone who wants to try something truly unique, do not miss this. A...
