Edo Fuji in Tokyo offers an exceptional dining experience, particularly for anyone craving a hearty and delicious serving of chirashi. This restaurant is a hidden gem known for its generous portions and high-quality ingredients, making it a must-visit for sushi and sashimi lovers.

The chirashi bowl at Edo Fuji is nothing short of impressive. The portion is large, packed with an abundance of fresh, vibrant fish that is expertly sliced. The variety of seafood included, from tuna and salmon to delicacies like uni and tamago, provides a rich and satisfying experience with each bite. The fish is incredibly fresh, melting in your mouth with the perfect balance of flavor and texture.

The rice beneath the seafood is equally noteworthy. It’s well-seasoned with just the right amount of vinegar, offering a subtle yet essential contrast to the richness of the fish. The overall presentation of the dish is beautiful, with the ingredients arranged thoughtfully to create an inviting and appetizing appearance.

The service at Edo Fuji is also excellent—attentive yet unobtrusive, ensuring a pleasant dining experience from start to finish. The atmosphere of the restaurant is warm and welcoming, making it a great place to enjoy a meal with friends or on your own.

All in all, Edo Fuji is a top-tier choice for anyone in Tokyo craving a big, satisfying portion of chirashi. The quality, quantity, and flavors are spot-on, making it an unforgettable meal. Highly...

We came 30mins early knowing that this was a popular spot, and despite so we only made it into the restaurant after 45mins of queueing. The restaurant is really small, about 15 seats (if you’re in groups of more than 4pax you will likely have to sit separately) and all menu is in Japanese. We tried using google translate but could not get much details on what’s on the menu. If you don’t read Japanese, fret not. The very kind old lady staff will come to you and tell you which is the best seller, and which is the one with ikura or uni. Go for the best seller if you’re not sure what to order - you won’t regret it! There is not much difference in the other bowls, just same best seller ingredients with additional ikura or uni that’s it. The price starts from about 2,900 yen up to 5,000 yen which is extremely worth it considering the huge portion you’ll get. Sashimi are all very fresh and thickly sliced, one of the most satisfying meals we’ve had. The free soup (fish spring onion soup, not miso soup) was absolutely delicious!! If I didn’t remember wrongly, they only accept cash so do remember to prepare...

We queued almost an hour for the highly raved-about overflowing seafood bowls — and while the wait was pretty agonising (only two chairs near the entrance for those nearing their turn), the food absolutely delivered.

The portions were incredibly generous, stacked so high it took effort just to reach the rice! Eating was a bit of a balancing act, but thankfully they provided extra plates to help manage the mountain of seafood. As a hardcore sashimi lover, I was surprised I couldn’t even finish — I literally waddled out like a stuffed blowfish.

Menu is pasted on the wall in Japanese, so we had to rely on Google Translate. Not perfect, but we made do! Also, be sure to bring cash — they charge 3% extra for card payments.

We were lucky to snag a table seat instead of the counter, which made the experience a lot more comfortable.

A must-try if you're a seafood lover with an empty stomach and a bit...
