One interaction can severely ruin an experience. As an One Piece Otaku, you would be ecstatic about being in a store, official even, of the manga you've loved. If I could buy everything in the store, I would. But an interaction with a female cashier made me want to drop everything and leave the store...
My wife wanted an official power bank that had all the characters, basically the whole mugiwara pirates on its cover. You could only get it thru the cashier. When it was time to pay, she asked the cashier about the power banks. The cashier asked which one. My wife didn't know how to describe the picture of the whole group so she said, "whole group". The cashier was confused and asked which one again. Again, my wife tried to explain the picture. Again, the cashier showing more irriation and hand waving that she needed the name. At this point I saw the cashier's irriation and tried to intervene. The cashier was young and most likely slow in the head, because the last thing she would want is my wife to be pissed.
Too late. The chihuahua gave my wife the side eye. Now I had to escalate it so my wife doesn't. I told her which one ( the strawhat pirates) and she still was confused. My wife just told her to bring out all of them. The numbnut took out two. TWO!!! YOU MEAN TO TELL ME YOU ONLY HAD TWO CHOICES REMAINING...THIS WHOLE TIME?!?! My wife pointed at one of them...the one with the whole group and said..."see...all of them".
The simpleton only had two choices and yet she chose a third...to be as difficult and rude as you can be as a rep for a store that's based on the story you love so dear. One Piece is not a Japanese ONLY thing. It is very much an international treasure. Languages can keep us separated but our demeanor and attitudes can bridge...or in this case...collapse...

While the store offers a wide range of items related to One Piece, it is unfortunate that the one item you specifically went to purchase, the iconic straw hat, was not available during your visit. This can certainly be disappointing, especially when it's such a central and recognizable symbol from the series.
In terms of the store's size, although it is fair in size, it seems like there could have been more on offer to cater to the diverse interests of fans. Expanding the variety of items available could enhance the overall experience and provide visitors with a broader selection of products to choose from.
Despite the absence of the straw hat and the perceived limitations in the store's offerings, the opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of One Piece and see all the fantastic artifacts is a memorable experience for any fan. The store serves as a wonderful tribute to the series and offers a unique opportunity to connect with fellow fans and celebrate the...
Read moreWe visited the place today May 18 to buy some of my grandson’s favourite toys specially the Luffy straw hat . When we got to the payment counter I asked the lady for the straw hat which is on the shelf behind her in the check out counter. Everything was going well until I tried to check the hat she was giving for me to purchase to see if there was no defect on the item and also since my grandson wanted to see it closer. So I held the hat and tried to show it to my grandson but the lady at the register quickly took the hat back saying we cannot” touch “ the item since it isn’t paid yet and we cannot check for defects since all other customers didn’t have the option to choose and inspect . And that’s where I really was disappointed . The behaviour , , attitude of the sales lady is very unbecoming of a Japanese . I then told the lady why the customer can’t choose and check the item if there is any defect. What happened to consumer rights???? and if that is the case , I’m not buying the hat anymore just the other items . That’s what broke my grandsons heart and he cried when we couldn’t take the hat . Can someone please explain why this is the “policy “ of the store or just that particular...
