Gyoza no Ohsho - Shibuya Hachiko Entrance — Restaurant in Tokyo

Great experience at this gyoza joint. Took the whole family here for dinner.

Queue time (Sun 8.30pm was 25mins).

Ordered both the ginger n garlic gyozas, sweet sour pork, mixed veg and mapo tofu. All turned out quite nice and flavourful.

Priced very reasonably, it attracts a lot of youngsters as well.

Service was alright, but beware that closing time is 9.30pm as stated but they really stop orders at 9pm. By 9.02om when we wanted too add more gyozas, they firmly said not possible. 🤷🤷

The joint has a pleasant atmosphere too. Smacked right in the heart of Shibuya crossing, it's not difficult to reach. Just get off Shibuya Station. Only thing is, it's hidden in an alley but not too obscure.

Have to order the gyoza, very delicious. And so is the mapo tofu. Its very well cooked and has a distinct taste for what they are.

We tried to visit this restaurant last Thursday and requested a table for our dinner. However, I felt like we were foreigners and kept standing outside waiting for almost 1 hour without seeing a group leaving the restaurant. Although they finished the food, they just continued chitchatting with each other. Another group/person (almost up to ten groups) who requested to sit at the counter kept entering the restaurant. Staffs standing there acted busy, and when we asked about the status intermittently, the staff only said, please be patient and continued waiting outside. Is this Japanese efficiency?
