This was the best happy accident on my trip so far. Was wandering around Shimokitazawa looking for some live music and ran this on google maps. Went in to see the last two acts of a busy schedule of young japanese alt rock bands and it was…. Amazing. The energy from the bands, from the small crowd… just made my night so much better. Might be I just happened to be there on a good night but if the quality of entertainment is nearly as good as this just take a chance and go. If you’re a live music fan you won’t regret it.

The 3000 yen entry fee (which includes 2 drinks) was worth it one...

Manager speaks english but you can get by either way as the staff are very helpful, even if you don’t speak Japanese.

Proper cool basement venue, smoky atmosphere, very intimate, great lighting system, nice bar area. Recommend if you wanna see some low-key bands. Definitely check this place out when you’re in Japan, go to their website to see who’s playing and when.

Don’t be afraid to go by yourself, most people there...

As you should expect, the drinks are quite weak and are very watered down. So pre-gaming is a must if you want to drink.

They keep the air-con on so bring a sweatshirt cause I'm from Michigan and thought it was cold as hell in there, even packed with many people.
