I visited the store yesterday and I was pretty disappointed. As a tourist coming to Japan for a few days, I obviously do not want my whole time to be spent shopping, even though I love buying clothes from stores that are not found in my country. That being said, I thought that the Stussy store in Harajuku is really disrespectful of its customers' time. It is a pretty snobby concept of Stussy that all stores (at least from my experience with them) make you wait in line before entering, despite it not even being close to being crowded, probably in order to create some sort of mystery and curiosity around the shop. This is not a problem in itself, however I think they have really overdone here, as we waited about 15 minutes when there was literally NO ONE on the first floor (the one which you can peep from the street). The guy working there just stood and laughed with a coworker/friend and looked at us without even giving us an estimate, while multiple people came up the stairs and left the store, which would technically mean there would be space inside (even though it was already almost empty). After he saw that the line got long enough, he finally decided to let us in and two other people, then closed the entrance again. The store itself is not even worth this rather humiliating wait, as it has pretty basic clothing and nothing really special. I visited the store in Amsterdam and I absolutely loved it there. It was smaller but there was much more variety and the line there actually made sense because there were a lot of people in there. Bad experience overall, do...
Read moreMy children and I experienced racial discrimination here. Everyone else was already in line, but we were told to come back because we were late. We arrived early, but the line was so long that we were asked to leave and come back at noon. Others waited a few steps away, but they approached us threateningly and told us to leave. My young sons and I were so scared that we had no choice but to leave. When we returned 10 minutes later, the people behind us had already joined the line. When we protested, the guard laughed at us and said there was nothing we could do. I never want to go back. That guard was truly a...
Read moreClothing is what it is, specific street design (I liked most of them), but the staff according to me was really aloof, indifferent, not even listening to what we were telling them. From Stussy at Shibuya we agreed and reserved a jacket to pick it up from Harajuku, got there just for it, but there was no jacket there! Even so, ok, things happen, but they didn't talk to us, almost not even looked at us, not to mention that we didn't heard at least a " sorry for the confusion". Really bad, rude and...
