Decided to give it a try with my bf after reading so many Google reviews.
Location: Walking distance from Hilton Hotel kk, however its abit hard to locate the exact shop. I couldn't find it the first day, turns out you need to take the elevator to the 3rd floor (only 1 elevator is working the second day I went and need to walk through a dark parking space to find the center)
Service Front desk is nice and friendly, she also pulled out promotional posters for me, also recommended us packages that meets our needs and budget.
Highlight : After making payment, we are given a paper to fill up our details and massage preferences. So we get to circle the area we'd like our masseuse to focus on, which is a nice touch. (But my masseuse didn't actually follow the paper, mine has palm and feet circled but no extra focus is given over thereš©)
Massage : Feet : excellent Scrub : ok but feels a little hasty. Didn't get to be scrubbed long enough in my opinion Body : hot oil + hot stone It was okay, I have very low pain tolerance so I mentioned many times that it's painful (sakit), maybe my masseuse didn't heard it everytime I say it so I have some blue blacks on my leg and have some pain on my shoulder after the session
Our masseuses speaks very softly, so the session was considered quite peaceful.
Toilets : Clean and tidy, 3 toilets. Comes with bidet and toilet paper.
My sore feet has recovered after the session. Price is quite affordable and reasonable too, will be back again next time.
Some minor comment : š Aircon perhaps can turn to a warmer setting to reduce risk of catching a cold š Room light can be more deem for maximum relaxation although we have towels...

To get to the massage place, I walked through a mall that felt like it was stuck in a post-apocalyptic movie. Working escalator? One. The others? Retired. I exited the mall... through the parking lot. Then climbed even more stairsāon tired knees and an aching ankle after two straight days of baking with no sleep. I literally stopped the sweet lady escorting me and asked, "Where are you taking me?!"
At that point, my inner monologue was spiraling: Is this a kidnapping attempt? Am I gonna be the plot twist?
But just as I was about to turn into a detective, the doors openedāand lo and behold, the massage place did exist!
Once I got in, everything changed. Calm ambiance, clean space, lovely smells, and the kind of silence that wraps around you like a warm hug.
As soon as they learned Iām a chef, they switched gears and tailored a combo massage to target my shoulders and weary limbs. And let me tell youāit was intense in the best way possible. I left feeling light, loose, and very thankful I wasnāt part of a Netflix docuseries.
Highly recommendābut maybe wear comfy shoes and donāt overthink...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLanded in Kinabalu after 3 straight weeks of nonstop travel, overnight plane rides, and work trips (i.e. lots of sitting hunched over a laptop in weird positions). Found Kama'A and they sorted me right out over Whatsapp, which was great for a traveller. Pick up and drop off were arranged with no fuss, they were very pleasant when I got lost in the building and sent someone to find me (tip: take the lift, not the escalators). The building is a bit dodgy and dark but the spa itself is lovely, clean and a relaxing space that's worth it. Welcome drink and foot rinse, plus a form to take down your preferences and any problem areas. All very structured, which I like.
Special mention: My therapist Mina was a consummate professional; friendly and discrete. She was very experienced and could clearly tell where my muscle knots were and how to best to sort them out. She was really fantastic. I go to a lot of spas during my travels and I rarely return to them unless they're outstanding. I would definitely come back to Kama'A for their Borneo massage (and I would...
