Switz Paradise Hotel — Hotel in Borneo

We never experienced such a bad experience at any hotel before other than this one. This is the worst. We came to KK because my mom had an appointment there to undergo surgery at hospital Queen Elizabeth. So we need to find any nearby hotel to stay overnight, and take turn to accompany my mom at hospital. We went to several hotels, but this hotel questioned us how many people are staying in one room and asked us to pay more with a rude tone. And why blame us broken the toilet door then spoke very rude, the hotel its already broken and to old not like same in the picture okay. My mom was so offended with the staff. Don’t treat us like we’re not paying for the room. If we’re wrong just say it nicely, no need to be rude. No reason to act rude in the first place, we’re human beings so...

If you're on a budget trip to KK, you may consider to stay here. Cheap & comfortable for it's price. Standard room is RM60/night & you choose either to have 1 queen bed or 2 single bed. Location wise I would say it's strategic as it is located in the city center of Kota Kinabalu. However, the hotel is at 3rd floor at building opposite City Parade. I would suggest you to call the receptionist upon arrival for assitance to reach the hotel. Be careful to choose the hotels in KK as some of the hotel are located at the area which is not really safe.. P/S.. You need to straight away come to the reception if you need anything as the room has no telephone. The hotel provided iron but they don't have iron board. But that's not a good a big deal for me. Was staying here for two times. Overall the hotel is okey, got parking in front of the hotel (with a charge from the building management), easy to find place for eating. Just less than 10 minutes walk to the Centre Point Building, about 15 minutes walk to the Philippines Market, Sinsuran and Kampung Air Night Market. The only problem during my stay was the smoke's smell, either from the front or someone maybe smoking in the other room. Room and toilet clean, bedding and towel also much better than any other budget hotel. Suitable for family with kids. The staff very friendly and easy to deal with.
