Nestled within a row of 4 to 5 shop lots, this seafood restaurant offers a wide array of fresh seafood that is sure to impress any visitor. While the cooking style here is simple and unpretentious, it allows the natural flavors of the seafood to shine, making it a delightful experience for those who appreciate straightforward, no-frills cuisine.
The menu is extensive, featuring everything from crabs and prawns to clams and various fish. Despite the variety, the prices are quite reasonable, providing good value for the quality and freshness of the seafood. This balance of quality and affordability is part of the reason why the restaurant draws large crowds daily.
However, this establishment is particularly popular among Chinese tourists, and it’s easy to see why. The restaurant is often packed, especially during peak hours, contributing to a lively and energetic atmosphere. For locals, though, this might not be the go-to spot, as the massive influx of tourists can be overwhelming, making it less of a hidden gem and more of a bustling tourist hub.
In summary, if you're a visitor looking to enjoy a vast selection of seafood in a lively setting without breaking the bank, this restaurant is worth a visit. Just be prepared for the crowds and the distinctly tourist-oriented vibe that...
Read moreLocal perspective: Very disappointed. Not delicious and pricey.
(Mid October 2022)
Expensive (quality-wise), seafood and other food dishes is not good at all, would not come back again.
Price: 2/10 Hygiene: 3/10 Food: 5.5/10 Ambience: 7/10 (many people) Service: 6/10
The food is terribly not good at all, after tourists coming here. It used to be a decent place but now it is overpriced and bad. We were sitting in the air conditioned room, and whole area SMELLS VERY FISHY.
All the food dishes that we ordered were very disappointing. Only decent one is the clam soup. Their fresh steamed fish… smells like mud and yes, all are farm raised…. 🫠(only grouper, siakap and tilapia available). And you know what, we ordered a small portion of chicken dish (Rm18) but it came out to be 3pieces only! +1 piece of bone. Not to mention the steamed prawns were not proceeded at all… prawn is not devenined and horns not cut which is to be expected at this price point in a restaurant. Very Disappointed.
Almost no waiter to service the air conditioned area…. Waiters outside not attentive at all. Even pay also have to wait and wait.
Spent around Rm370 for 6 person. Still ok for that price but not worth it at this price vs quality.
Would not...
Read moreWe were immensely impressed by the size of the restaurant when our driver brought us here. The staff escorted us to our table, and to place our order, we took the table number stand to the signboard displaying various dishes, where a staff member took our order. Please note that there was no price list on the display board, so it's advisable to ask for prices to avoid surprises when paying later.
We initially desired a large crab, but unfortunately, they only had small crabs available that day. When they said it was a small crab, it truly was small, and we ended up ordering 3 crabs (RM11 each) in their special sauce. Additionally, we ordered 2 large wet butter prawns (300 grams for RM69), a small lettuce (RM15), white clams (RM15), and one serving of plain white rice (RM2.50). For drinks, we opted for Herbal Tea (RM4), Welcome Coffee (RM5.50), and Chinese hot tea (RM0.50).
While the special crab sauce was delightful, the small size of the crabs made them less enjoyable. However, the prawns paired wonderfully with the flavorful butter sauce. The white clams arrived soaked in a mild gingery soup and were quite enjoyable. Overall, it would have been a 5-star meal if we had been able to enjoy a...
