The lousiest service I've ever received. Called for a menu about 5 times and was ignored by all the waiters. Managed to get a menu, and some person called the "captain" wearing white came to my table, snatched the menu from my hands and gave it to another customer. That customer was so embarrassed, he apologised to me. Never got an apology from the staff called the captain. I was not the only one frustrated with their service, many were frustrated with this captain. I highly recommend staying away from this lousy restaurant. All the waiters are stuck up and lazy to do their job. I was ignored countless times when trying to order.
When I finally managed to get one waiter to ask for an order, she sighed like I was asking her for money. She then ignored me and never came back.
Another waitress, I managed to hail down, after asking for order, she instead went and got a jug of Chinese tea to serve to another table
I will never recommend this place people I hate. That is how bad it is.
My 2nd picture shows a bunch of drinks left there by another customer who was fed up and decided to walk away.
Better go to another restaurant. There's one adjacent and they're much better.
KK Garden Seafood, you need to improve your lousy service

No other restaurant around had this issue due to the festivities, so you cannot use that as an excuse. Suang Tain was efficient with no hiccups at all, even during the "festive season". They are right next to you.
The service at your restaurant is abysmal - just accept that. I will never come back to your restaurant, nor would I ever recommend it to anyone. I will direct them to better restaurants with better service.
When interviewing your waiters, you must probably train them to say "sekajap ah" and walk away, only to serve the large tables, and ignore the smaller tables. I was there with my mother who has difficulty walking (OKU). Your waiters didn't even pause to give her way to move, they cut her off several times as well. The people of Sabah are generally friendly and polite, but I now know where to find the rudest people - at KK Garden...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at KK Garden Seafood Restaurant, and it was an experience that exceeded all expectations. Nestled in a charming location, the restaurant offers a warm and inviting ambiance that immediately sets the tone for a delightful meal. The decor is tasteful with subtle nautical themes, creating a cozy atmosphere perfect for both intimate dinners and larger gatherings.
The menu is a seafood lover’s paradise, boasting an impressive array of fresh catches prepared in various styles to suit different palates. I started with the seafood chowder, a hearty bowl brimming with flavors of the sea and a creamy consistency that was just right. For the main course, the grilled snapper with lemon butter sauce was a standout. Cooked to perfection, the fish was tender and flavorful, complemented beautifully by the tangy sauce.
What truly sets KK Garden apart is their exceptional service. The staff is attentive and knowledgeable, readily offering recommendations and ensuring that all dietary preferences are accommodated. The wine list is extensive, featuring selections that pair wonderfully with the seafood offerings.
Prices are reasonable considering the quality and freshness of the food, making it excellent value for money. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or simply indulging in a seafood feast, KK Garden Seafood Restaurant delivers an outstanding dining experience. I left with a satisfied palate and a desire to return soon to explore more of their...

High review scores and reputation for affordable seafood brought us here, especially since prices in Johor Bahru or Singapore can be steep in comparison. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a bit of a mixed bag.
The mid-sized crabs were incredibly priced and decent for the money but didn’t quite wow us. The prawns, which many reviews raved about, were also just… acceptable.
Surprisingly, the Seafood Wat Tan Hor and Sabah vegetables ended up being the highlights of the night. Both were full of flavour, packed with seafood, and had that unmistakable wok hei that’s so satisfying. Generous portions too.
The biggest letdown, though, was the so-called “sashimi” oysters. At RM10 per piece, I wasn’t expecting premium quality, but the presentation was impressive. Huge oysters, beautifully served. Unfortunately, the taste didn’t match the look. The texture was bland and borderline chewy, like they had been frozen. I should have taken the hint when the staff said, “Our oysters are big, but we’re not sure how they’ll look once opened.”
The blood clams were slightly overcooked for my taste but still decent overall.
All in all, not a bad experience, but not one that lived up to the hype either. In hindsight, I probably should’ve listened to my Grab driver’s advice to try the place opposite. As they say, always trust the locals.
Word of caution some acts ask for audience participation. Don’t sit near the stage if not...
