I hoped I could savage some stars for this heavily-overrated cafe but unfortunately, I couldn't. My wife wanted to try this and so we came. We arrived at 7.58pm, with eagerness to try out this cafe since we have heard quite a lot of positive reviews on it. I made the order at 8.05am and I also read their message on the order tab which requested the clients to wait for 25-30 minutes of preparation time. Fair enough. Now, when did I lose the cool? It was when we saw other diners come and go for the next 35 min which prompted me to ask the golden question, "Did you all enter my order?" The reason I asked this question was because I did not receive the order chit until I prompted it. Yes, you heard it right. None of the server crew noticed this as well. I was told that the kitchen crew was on it. They furnished the order chit at the same time. I thought to myself, "Okay, Let's give them another chance" My wife was starving, and I could see from her face turned a bit pale, and that she was also unhappy with the ordeal. As a husband, you can starve me, but don't starve my wife. I waited for another 10 min, before deciding to pursue with a heavier tone. Know how did the same waitress respond? She was baffled as to why our food was not here yet, she said she would check. I looked at her all the way and saw her walking to the kitchen crew and asked of the status, of which the chef looked over my table with a blur look. I did not know what happened, but I did not like what I see. It was only then that my food was served in 10 min later. So from the time I ordered my food to it arriving at 9.00pm, it took a whooping 55min! Almost an hour since we sat down and ordered! This experience alone is enough to shun me away from it for a reasonable amount of time until I decide to give it a 2nd chance again. Hack! Who knows if there will be a 2nd chance again. Food tasted quite ok (maybe the signature volcano salmon don was meant to be cold, so I shall give credit when it's due. The lava cake was commendable), but the service crew missed the fundamentals of how to serve the tables with observation, with prompt action and right customer service. There was a male crew member who became more attentive. I gave my thanks to him for being more proactive towards the later stage, but the damage had been done. Note: I sincerely apologize to the 2 table of diners next to us who witnessed me banging the table. Your experience could have become unpleasant because of me, but I have never banged a restaurant table my whole life. Zen X Belly became the first for me to do so.

I came for dinner to try their food here. Atmosphere is okay. Food is so so only. And the service is terrible. The staff doesn’t feel like welcoming the customer. And food service is so slow too. I ordered sushi’s and takoyaki. Usually i like to dipped my sushi with the sweet and salty Japanese black sauce but the staff gave me only salty sauce which is really very salty so i need to mix it with sweet sauce. But apparently as I’m waving my hand to look for the service seems like no one ever wants to attend me and i bet the staffs are pretending did not see me at all as maybe they think they’d already served all the food i ordered so why bother to ask me what i want. It took a time and finally there’s one who attended me so i asked her if she could give me a sweet sauce as the sauce they gave me is pretty salty so at least i could mix it with sweet one, but what i so disappointed for is she still gave me a salty sauce🤦🏻‍♀️ i don’t know if she understands me or what, but I’m pretty sure she did. She speaks English well i bet. That kind of service gives me the feeling of they just want to work because of getting salary but they don’t want to give a good service to their job. Why working in this kind of line if you’re not happy giving good service to your customers. And also worse sushi and sauce combo i ever tried. The black sauce they served is not for the sushi sauce, it’s more like untuk masak daging i guess. Very salty. Food price range also a bit pricey especially for the simple ice lemon tea.

**Zen X Belly: Delicious Food, Out-of-Sequence Service** I recently returned to Zen X Belly for lunch at my friend's request. While the food was as delicious as I remembered, the service left a bit to be desired. The hot latte and cubes coffee mocha were served promptly, as expected. However, the rest of our order arrived in a rather unusual sequence. The set lunch add-ons and main courses, including the California Handroll, Dragon Tail, and Unagi-Don, were served before the Edamame, which arrived only after we had nearly finished our meal. Despite this minor hiccup, the food was definitely worth it. The California Handroll was fresh and flavorful, the Dragon Tail was cooked to perfection, and the Unagi-Don was a satisfying and filling meal. Overall, I would recommend Zen X Belly for its delicious food and quick service. However, it's worth noting that the order of dishes may not always be as expected. If you're not too particular about the sequence, I would definitely recommend giving this place a try.
