I did not enjoy the experience. I read the reviews and, after the experience, cannot understand what all the five-star reviews are about. I had the deep tissue massage, which somehow turned into a hot stone massage halfway through. It was supposed to be one hour but was more like 50 minutes. I've had other deep tissue massages in Baja in recent weeks for much less money and they were much better. When the masseuse told me she was finished I almost said "That's it????" After other deep tissue massages, I felt like I had been worked on. This one...nope. I'm not feeling any benefits. I had also booked a spa pedicure and it was okay, but not the best pedicure I have ever had. The place was clean and I could tell that their clientele came mostly from the nearby resorts. Not saying that makes a difference but next time I will try a place that is more "local". I'm not going to name the girl I had as she might have just been having an off day. I spent over $140. USD there and did not feel like I got my money's worth at all. Just a note...I'm not cheap and I tip well if the services deserve it. The next day my shoulder was sore, not in a good after massage way but in a the person did not do a good job amd...
Read moreThe only person that earned a star was the person who gave me a massage, she earned that because of her good attitude, she was nice. it wasn’t good if you pay in pesos, an additional 400 pesos because they need to convert it to USD? We’re in Mexico so that doesn’t make sense to me, I asked my taxi driver the same thing after, and he didn’t understand because it’s usually the other way around and they prefer pesos .so they don’t have to exchange USD to pesos so go figure. The deep tissue isn’t very deep, she had decent power with using her weight and elbows but no hand power, so not really deep tissue, then I got a pedicure and that was not very good, girl definitely wasn’t happy to do her job, she cleaned it up but was basic, my wife had it done elsewhere and that place was crazy impressive, I mean she has ingrown toenails taken out and it was clearly done with confidence, the whole nine yards. life spa by Loretta was pretty basic and unimpressive. Wife got a facial and they had no hypoallergenic or really sensitive product, it was just cheap stuff. I’m not saying I wouldn’t recommend this place but I would only do it for a basic cheap massage and...
Read moreStay away from this horrible location. The sign outside says $40, you call or go in to make an appointment and they say $40. (I walked in as I was staying right behind the place). I verified everything and I speak fluent Spanish, so there was no "miscommunication". I told the lady I wanted a couples massage and she asked time and firmness. I set a time and told her deep tissue. Everything seemed fine until we showed up and were about to walk in to get the massage.
First off, it was super weird as we were met with a bunch of angry looking employees sitting in the front waiting room on their phones. We checked in and the lady told us "oh, there was a mix up...your massages are actually $60 because they are deep tissue." When I complained one of the angry employees near by said "no, I was here and Martha told them it was $60. I was here." Well...no one was in the lobby when I set the appointment so that was just a flat out lie. We decided to cancel and went next door. The price next door that was advertised was...
