Café Toscano Parque Mèxico — Restaurant in Mexico City

One of my favorite restaurants in Parque México. There’s good pasta options, drinks and coffee.

You can eat in here anytime - I am setting a solid 4 due to my recent experience with my server. So we got at midday and he insisted breakfast was about to be due and we needed to wait 40 more minutes to order something else.

He somehow influenced me to order bread even when we told him the morning menu wasn’t what we were looking for. It gave me a feeling it wasn’t the restaurant’s policy but he making a point where there wasn’t any.

Overall, it is a nice place to be. There’s folklore all day in the park, street vendors can get closer every other moment but they aren’t disrespectful or overwhelming.

In my view - the restaurant is in a good position and the team behaves well but could reach excellence with the proper supervision and mentoring.

everything is served with absolute intention and hospitality. All of the servers are attentive and serve you fresh food made with fresh ingredients. We stayed at the Airbnb that was right above the café, which included the breakfast of only fruit and bread with coffee or juice, but we decided to order more items after we saw what the people around us were being served. No regrets. Absolute perfection and made to order. The atmosphere is impeccable with perfect seats to people watch with seats facing the road and Parque Mexico. Ordered latte with soy milk and gave me cows milk even though I am allergic and I could tell right away it was dairy (which also was a terrible coffee), when I told them they all (including the barista) insisted it was soy milk. My partner also tried it and could also tell right away it was cows milk (it both smelled and tasted like it). So eventually we begged again, getting the manager involved and finally got them to take it and give me a black coffee instead. Service was also really bad, couldn’t get their attention ever for anything. Food was very average and only get an extra star above 1 for having a few vegan options.
