Amïn — Restaurant in Mexico City

Worst serving experience I have ever had. The server brought an extra plate we did not order. He took it back to the kitchen and did not say anything. When I came to pay, I felt bad for the situation and tip them 20% even the service was not good. When I was leaving the cafe I realized that he had charged us the extra item (100$ mxn) and didn’t mention that when I was paying. When we complained he even did not apologize for what happened and just offer us to take the food home. I felt stupid because I apologized for what happened even it was not my fault and even tip them to amend the situation and the server did not have the decency to say that they were charging the food or offer us to take it away from the beginning. I recently visited this coffee shop for the first time and WOW what amazing service!!! I’ve lived in Mexico City for 3 years and sadly to say my experiences in coffee shops have been pretty hit or miss so now that I’ve found a place where I feel welcomed and heard, I will definitely be coming back and telling my friends.

The French? or Canadian, I’m not sure (has a mustache) guy working there is so sweet, I’m lactose intolerant and he was really knowledgeable and helpful. Not to mention the coffee itself is sooooo tasty. I already want to go...

Really good pastries here. I had the chocolate croissant and it was so flaky, crunchy, good sized, and just delicious. They have a broad range of other pastry options as well. I also had the decaf americano which was good. They use organic milks. The atmosphere is really nice and chic. It's very open though so not the best for meetings or if you need quiet. They have wifi and a dedicated table with chargers...
