Read moreWe went here on New Year’s Day for dinner and were seated without hesitation. We ordered delicious cocktails and loved them so much that we ordered another round. Shoutout to the bartenders. But before we realized it, more than an hour had passed and our food had not arrived. It turns out the kitchen was understaffed, leading to a horrible time for everyone, servers, cooks, customers. So many other tables sat for an eternity with no food on the table and worst of all, no communication.
Why would you continue to receive people in the restaurant and hide the fact that food would take 100 minutes before it arrived? And further more, why would you not tell people upfront that they would be sitting there, hungry for over an hour and a half?
My dish did not taste authentic and it was the wrong meat. The photo shows ground meat, which is the type of meat the dish should be cooked with, but instead the beef I got was large and chopped. I was promised that I would get ground beef by the server when I ordered the dish as well. Why would you say you can serve it when you obviously can’t?
The worst part was that both my friend and I both got sick that night after eating the food!— so not only was the food not good, it was clearly not cooked correctly. I do not recommend...
Read moreI initially considered ordering the Pad Kee Mao with shrimp but opted for the Massaman curry instead, as I’ve tried this dish at other Thai restaurants in Tulum and wanted to compare the quality. So far, my favorite has been Sukhothai Tulum. Unfortunately, the Massaman here didn’t measure up—it lacked the rich texture and signature ingredients that made me fall in love with Sukhothai’s version.
That said, this place does excel in some areas. The rice was particularly impressive—fresh, moist, and perfectly cooked. I also appreciated the cashew nuts, which added a nice touch to the dish. I’ll definitely return to try the Pad Kee Mao with shrimp and the Pad Kra Pao with shrimp to see how they stack up.
As for pricing, this restaurant is on the higher end compared to other Thai spots in town. This location is not as accommodating as others. It is the first place that has charged me extra for...
