I was very excited to try this place. The decor is very pretty and I wanted to eat something different while on our trip in Mexico. After reading reviews, we decided to give Pasha a try. Service was okay, but unfortunately quite slow. We waited 45 minutes between our appetizers and our main (I know this because I have been documenting our meals in Mexico and took a photo once the appetizer hit the table). During this there was a period where we felt like the server forgot about us, and where maybe our food wasn’t coming. The vibe of the evening wasn’t welcoming and compared to our last two weeks in Mexico, this was probably the most lack lustre in terms of service and treatment. When our food did come, one of the items was missing, but another server did come to correct it. The food was quite good, however was a bit expensive for what you get. Unfortunately we were disappointed at the end of the night, especially with how the night ended. We asked for the bill, and were asked if we could pay in American dollars, which we were told was fine. When we got the bill, we were told the exchange was 17. The receipt also included a recommend 15% tip, which is fine. It also included another piece of paper encouraging a tip, which we felt was off putting. When we received the bill, we decided as a group we would tip 10%, since we the food was acceptable but the service was subpar. A woman who I am assuming was the owner hovered over us while we were getting out our money and told us the bill was $xx. When we explained we would figure out the bill with 17 as the exchange, she was very pushy, demanding the 15% tip be included as that is standard in Mexico for outstanding service, however I would absolutely not describe our service as outstanding. She was absolutely insistent we were doing the math wrong (even though two of us had input the amounts into our calculators multiple times). Instead of asking how the experience could have been improved upon, she stood over us, demanding x number of dollars, making us feel stupid, as though we couldn’t figure out how to pay the bill. We were going to leave the original 15%, but then almost left 0% because of how poorly the night ended, but left 10% because we didn’t want to put our server out. It felt extremely uncomfortable to say the least. It didn’t feel like she appreciated our business, but instead felt like she just wanted our money. It left such a sour taste in our mouths, and because of how we were treated at the end of the dinner, I would not recommend this place. I have travelled quite extensively in manly parts of the world, and I don’t believe I have ever had an experience with quite the amount of pushiness by an owner for a tip. Because of how pushy the owner was at the end, I wonder where the tips are going as during the payment portion of the evening, our server was not around. I am writing this review as someone who has worked in service and hospitality in restaurants for almost 15 years, working where tip culture is the norm as well and where we receive a lot of tourists also. At the end of the day, it is the guests choice in regards to how much to tip. I have the utmost respect for people in the service industry, and I am in it myself, however this is not how you should behave and treat your guests. I don’t expect a great response, as the responses from the owner seem defensive, however I wanted to leave my experience. I do hope the owner understands or whomever the woman was begins to treat guests with genuine respect and...

The waiters weren't up to the standard for the price of the place, the food was good and the place looked nice, but I had to ask multiple times for things, they gave us the wrong order and then had it sit at the table while they said are you sure and then went back to talk to the other water then come back and give the food to the right table without even apologizing. You had to ask and call the watoirs multiple times and even then they came and left quickly you had to call them back if you were asking for more then one thing because as soon as you finished the sentence they were walking away. I asked for a Coca-Cola and the watior answered no i was confused at first thinking that she didn't understand me but then said only lemonade, but when I asked if they had other things available she repeated onley lemonade I then asked if they had specific things on the drink menu and she said yes to almost all of them, if she had been less rude then I would have been fine but when a customer asks for something you should answer politely, a we don't have that but we do have this available, isn't that hard to say. The service would have been fine if it was a street place but the prices are extremely high so I expected better. The place had three tables full and all of them had 4 or less people it wasn't busy so they can't use that as an excuse.

The people at the counter were on the phone and talking loudly behind the bar with eachother, and it took a long time for them to see us calling and come to the table. They were on their phones and I could here the ticktok sounds playing during the meal, they weren't pleasant and always seemed eager to stop talking to you. We have been here multiple times and the food is good for mexico but I am half Turkish and because they can't get the spices and meats the same way it doesn't taste the same, fine for tourists but not the best for Turkish people. The real problem is that the service area needs a...

I visited once but, unfortunately, I don’t plan on returning.

As someone who eats only halal, I was disappointed to see that the halal option was priced 70 pesos higher than the non-halal one. While I understand that sourcing halal chicken may be more challenging, increasing the price makes it less accessible to the very community you're trying to serve. It would be more welcoming to offer halal options at the same price, showing Muslim customers that they are truly valued and encouraged to dine here. Instead, I left feeling discouraged and would rather choose a vegetarian meal elsewhere.

The portion was quite small. I ended up eating extra bread from my friend's basket and still left feeling hungry. The chicken skewers were a bit dry and lacked flavor, and the sides were minimal—just a small serving of rice, a grilled Roma tomato, two pieces of red pepper, and a tablespoon of hummus. 1 small garlic sauce and something pickled. Considering the price, I expected a bit more, even for Tulum.

Additionally, the service was quite slow. We had to ask multiple times for napkins and water, but the staff kept forgetting. I was gonna host my birthday dinner here, but I have changed my mind.

To the owner: I encourage you to explore local options for slaughtering your own halal meat, ensuring that both halal and non-halal meals are priced equally. This would create a more inclusive and inviting dining experience...

No gluten-free options. My husband ordered the chicken shish kebab, he let the waitress know he did not want pita or couscous due to wheat allergies. We asked for rice instead but they claimed they did not have any (who doesn’t have rice in a middle eastern restaurant?!). In response we simple asked for the chicken and a side of veggies. They literally brought out the chicken on a bed of bulghur wheat. I clarified with them multiple times while placing the order but since no one spoke English they did not understand we had to communicate via goggle translate and they still got it wrong. Awful experience, my meal was fine but mediocre and overpriced at best. The only thing this restaurant has going for it is the atmosphere.

Having lived in Tulum for six months, I hesitated to try this place—and for good reason. One look at the menu, the inflated prices, and what’s actually included, and it’s clear: this is a blatant ripoff, even by Tulum standards. A proper falafel plate comes with hummus, salad, and pita. Here? Everything is sold separately, each priced like a full meal. I ordered hummus with eggplant, but the waiter brought hummus with red pepper instead—then casually mentioned the menu had changed. Worse, when I asked if the falafel came with hummus, he said yes, but still tried to serve me an extra order. On the menu it says falafel is 240, they charge you 290. And for what? The food was forgettable.

Pasha was a very nice surprise as I was looking for a restaurant for my wife's birthday. The Bedouin tent vibe immediately takes you from the streets of Tulum and provides a great ambiance for an intimate dinner. On top of that the food was EXCELLENT. Best falafel I've ever had in my life. The salmon and beef were grilled to perfection. Complimentary pineapple juice, spicy green sauce, tzatziki, and pita were provided free of charge. Our server was a very friendly gentleman who was very accommodating of our basic Spanish and made sure we were taken care of. Couldn't recommend this place enough. If we ever come back to Tulum we'll be hitting them up again
