I'll start with good things: Delicious Yergen toast, nice surroundings and cats nearby. Now, I'll continue with a story that happened to us and is directly related to the gastro pub work.
Well, this was an experience NGL. We had decent expectations about this place. We came in the evening, 1:30h before closing and it was like at 50% capacity. The first young waiter was very chill and nice, showed us around, made us comfortable and everything. Then, after lurking though out the menu, another waiter served us and we placed an order: 2 Aperols, toast and Caesar's salad. 5 minutes went past - no Aperol. (Remind you, they weren't in a rush at all) 10 - no Aperol still. The table next to us got just served, even though they came later. 20 minutes - still nothing for us. 30 minutes - nothing. 35 minutes later we just called that young waiter and asked where are our order. He was astonished by what we said. He asked, did the other colleague took our order, to which we said "Yes". Then he was astonished by our answer, panicked and said that the colleague already left (but so what?). We again asked for the same order (2 drinks, toast and salad), to which he said that kitchen in closed already 😐 To say we were disappointed is to say nothing. Well, he managed to ask reopen kitchen but for toast only. In the end, we liked the Yergen Toast with some fries on a side and small, and salad. And, also the Aperol Spritz. Obviously, no tip from us,...
Read moreWe have visited this restaurant twice in the last few days, and the hospitality has been top-notch.
As someone with Turkish roots who lives in London, I always crave Turkish food when eating out. I'm also a soup fan, and it's always my go-to starter. When I learned that they serve soup, I didn't need to hear more!
The food is tasty, and the prices are very reasonable compared to other places in the old town.
Having spent some time in hospitality myself, I can confidently say that you won't regret your choice.
You can check the menu and prices before sitting down, and there's no pressure from the staff while you do so.
I tried the chicken soup, yengen toast, and then the lentil soup (the following day) and had no complaints. My choice for breakfast is always liquid, as I believe our stomachs need it, especially after consuming too much solid food while traveling. I was so happy to find this place. They also serve menemen for breakfast, which was quite surprising, as you don't see it in too many places.
P.S.: You can drink soup anytime during the day; it's not limited to breakfast.
I highly...

Guys, i dont know what to tell you, when i saw that i cant even say i was angry, it was just sad. Plus they charged us for 3 cappuccinos instead of 3 macchiatos, around 10 euros total . So, to save you from saddnes, please avoid this place at any cost. Rather dont eat or drink anything all day but avoid this place. It...
