Taloula Mango’s / Blue Bitch Bar — Restaurant in Philipsburg

Drinks were atrocious & the food was mediocre. The wait is what pushed my group over the edge. We wanted to stop for a quick drink and some snacks at a bar, but ended up being trapped here for 3 hours. We sat for 30 minutes without any service. Once we ordered everything (appetizers like salads and flatbreads and drinks). we waited an hour before we got WATER BOTTLES & we had to flag down our waitress to get them. Then we waited another 40 minutes before the waitress came up to us to tell us they were out of one of the things we had ordered almost 2 hours ago. 10 minutes after that, the food came out. She waited until the last minute to let us know our appetizer was out of stock & at that point we didn't want to put in another order and have to wait forever. Oh, btw, our cocktails still have not come yet. By the time we were almost finished eating, our drinks finally came. All of the "frozen" drinks were watery and and melted and tasted as if they had no alcohol in them. I ordered a mojito and it was literally warm, flat and halfway filled up with mint leaves. This is not a knock on the employees as it seemed like there were only 2 servers racing around- they are clearly understaffed. This is a deeper problem...

Our day trip to Great Bay Beach in Sint Maarten was nothing short of amazing! Located on the Dutch side of the island, this destination offers a perfect blend of relaxation and excitement. We visited the Blue Bi+ch Bar. The service was great, with friendly staff who made us feel right at home. We enjoyed delicious food and refreshing drinks, all while soaking up the sun and taking in the breathtaking views of the turquoise waters of Great Bay. The live music added a fun and vibrant atmosphere, making it a place we could have stayed at all day.

After a relaxing time on the soft sands of Great Bay Beach, we strolled through downtown Philipsburg. The combination of beachside relaxation and a lively town center made this day truly unforgettable.

Asked to sit outside and we were not allowed to because we were 4 and it was a table of six. 5min later they allowed a group of 4 to sit at that exact same table. They also told us there were no salad avaiable while someone was able to order salad about 15min after we were there. Never going back again.

Response to the feedback: The restaurant was NOT packed upstairs, there was literally one other couple seated inside The waittress mentioned that it is a “busy day” and that the table which seats 6 people is meant for larger groups (we were 4 and Icompletely understand) Nothing was mentioned about her recommending that a child should not sit on the high top chairs. Though, she is cabale of sitting in them. You seated another group of 4 at that same table while there were 2 other empty tables inside which could seat 4 people.
