🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 A Culinary & Hospitality Gem - So Good We Came Back Twice

During our 7 day vacation in Sint Maarten, we had countless dining options to choose from - but Bold Buddha Fusion left such a lasting impression that we made the rare decision to return for a second night. That alone speaks volumes.

From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine warmth and hospitality. Our server, Austin, was not only attentive and professional, but also incredibly personable - taking time to explain the menu, offer great recommendations, and ensure we felt completely at home. On both visits, we had the pleasure of being greeted by Seema, the owner, whose down-to-earth nature and obvious passion for what she does added a special touch that elevated the entire experience.

As for the food - absolutely exceptional. On our first visit, I had the Asian Wings, Dutch Gouda Rings, and the Fried Mahi Mahi. Each dish was masterfully prepared and packed with flavor. The wings were perfectly crispy with a sweet-savory glaze, the Gouda Rings were rich, melty, and completely unforgettable, and the Mahi Mahi was fried to golden perfection - light, flaky, and expertly seasoned.

The second night, I returned to try the Grilled Salmon, which was just as incredible - tender, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Every dish was a standout, which is a rare thing to say even at the best restaurants.

The cocktail program also deserves special recognition. The mojitos were expertly balanced, fresh, and refreshing, clearly crafted with care and attention. I also tried the Spicy Bloody Mary, which is often a hit-or-miss drink elsewhere, but here it was done just right. Bold, savory, and with the perfect kick. Exactly what you hope for, but rarely get.

Between the outstanding food, thoughtfully made drinks, and the truly exceptional hospitality from Austin and Seema, Bold Buddha Fusion became more than just a dinner spot, it became a highlight of our trip. It’s the kind of place that turns a great night into a lasting memory.

While strolling along the waterfront near our hotel in Philipsburg, my husband and I stumbled upon Bold Buddha Caribbean Fusion, and what a delightful find it turned out to be!

The warm and friendly welcome set the tone for a truly memorable dining experience. The location, right on the waterfront, provided a picturesque backdrop that perfectly complemented the fantastic food and relaxed vibe.

We decided to share a piña colada topped with Meyers rum, and it was one of the most refreshing and flavorful cocktails we’ve had in a long time—an ideal drink for a tropical afternoon.

For our meal, we shared the whole grilled red snapper plate, and it was absolutely stellar. The snapper was expertly grilled and seasoned to perfection, with every bite bursting with fresh, bold flavors. It was served over fragrant Jasmine rice and topped with a bright, zesty citrus sauce that elevated the dish beautifully. The accompanying grilled veggie kabob was small but delicious, adding a lovely touch of smokiness to the plate.

The service was quick, attentive, and inviting, making the whole experience seamless and enjoyable.

My best friend David and I came to Bold Buddha after running into Rakesh the manager at their other site, a coffee shop called Coffee Lounge. Rakesh took it upon himself to serve us breakfast which was delicious, especially the eggs. His customer service skills were outstanding. He recommended Bold Buddha. The prices are extremely reasonable in comparison to many of their competitors. The Tapas selection is broad and full of tasty delicacies. Seema the owner was so gracious in explaining the menu in detail and personalizing to your taste, even though a detour from the stated menu. She did the same with cocktails that included secrets she'd experimented with. Our meal was amazingly delicious. David enjoyed the Asian wings cooked in a tandoori sauce with a chutney dip. My chicken burger with crispy sweet potato fries was mouth watering and extremely filling. We ate more dishes than is stated here and waddled out of the restaurant full and contented. We returned the following night for a second helping of some of what we'd had to take back to the hotel, and sampled the garlic shrimp on avocado with jalapeños on toast before leaving...hmmm. I recommend everyone try the food at this restaurant. You won't be disappointed and you'll return for more, I'm sure.
