Rotterdam Centraal Station is where the P&O ferry shuttle bus drops and collects you-you can’t miss it; it’s an enormous and very striking building so easy to find. Inside the building is light and bright - there were lots of people there when we visited, but even on a Saturday afternoon it didn’t feel crowded at all. Signage in the station is pretty good although finding toilets proved a little difficult. We expected they would be more prominent and on the ground floor, but eventually found them on the first floor and tucked away. Be warned that you need your train ticket to go through a barrier to enter and exit the facilities and then 70cents to use the loo-cash or card. We wanted to leave our bags at the station so that we could take a train to Den Haag before catching our coach. We found the Left Luggage and it was a very simple and affordable process: Choose a small or large locker, insert luggage and hold door shut, pay my card and a ticket is generated. Just scam this on return and the locker opens. There are various shops there including an Albert Hein To Go (small, limited choice and nothing gluten free), and also a Tourist Information desk. Here you can buy a map for €1; there’s also a QR code to scan for free information. Buying a ticket to Den Haag was via a ticket machine. The only downside for us was that, just as we found at Blaak station and the metro stations, there’s no staff available. If you are travelling into Rotterdam by train the station really is central to the city so you can get to a lot of the popular tourist places such as the Cube houses, Oude Haven etc within a 10-15...
